PXG = JUNK.  ESPECIALLY the irons.  They go far and have serious hotspots, that’s about the kindest thing I can say about them

In my hands during 2 outside fittings hitting off turf, the Gen3 P and T irons provided more consistency in distance compared to MP20 MMC and ZX7 irons. At one point we were dialing in headweight with the Gen4 and those numbers were just as tight. The 0211 ST loses a bit more on mishits than the filled head P and T models, but that's to be expected.

I honestly never really wanted to like them, but my brother convinced me to check them out and my experience demonstrates that they make excellent clubs and now the pricing is incredible. I imagine the early adopters don't feel the same, but to each their own. They were never worth the original money but now they're about the best blend of value and performance I'm aware of.

Sounds like a typical PXG Hater. Probably has never even hit them. But I'm sure he will chime in with a different story.

NO OEM makes junk clubs, despite what anyone's personal opinions are. Just say you don't like them for whatever reason and be done with it.

I wish PXG were more readily available for demo.  Or they did a demo program like some of the DTC companies.

I hear ya. In my area they do fittings at a high-end country club. Nice range with pretty good range balls. Far preferable compared to inside fittings for me when it comes to anything but driver.

I’m a free agent and play the Gen4 driver and Gen3 irons, so there’s that 😂.  Like others, I’ve hit literally almost all the irons/drivers from all the big manufacturers over the last 5-6 years and they’re all good. It’s about what head bracket you fit into (players/Gi, etc), what looks/feels good to you and getting the correct shaft for your swing.
And before the haters chime in, I currently have Gen3 0311P irons, but also own Srixon Z565’s and Mizuno 921 HM’s. And drivers are Gen4 Pxg and also a Cobra Radspeed XB. They’re all very very similar.

I belong to a private club and the only guys that play PXG are 15-20hcp'ers. It's kind of a GI brand at this point which is great it's just overpriced. Also Parsons doing the commercials hurts the brand and makes it a joke.

Also not many free agents out there as even guys that use TM get tee up money. Callaway and TM along with PING are the top played drivers for guys out there. Titleist gets a lot of play as well.

I belong to a private club. I play PXGs. I'm a one HC. I play them because for me, they're a great iron and do what I want them to do. I also bought them on sale and they were just a little more expensive than my Mizzys. We sure judge a lot on this forum.

I just purchased Gen3 0311 XP’s after hitting Mizuno Hot Metal Pro, Ping 425, Ping g710, TaylorMade p790, Srixon zx5, Titleist t200.

I cannot stand their commercials, in fact I hate them, but EVERYTHING worked for me in dispersion with the PXG BOTH in left/right & consistent yardages.

They beat all of those irons and I cannot believe they have my money.

PXG’s business model is a failing one.  Charging premium plus prices for equipment that isn’t superior to other manufactures isn’t a model for long term success.  Not going into big box or other traditional retailers is also another flaw in their plan.  The old “green grass” model failed Ping and Titleist a while back, PXG’s is even more restrictive.  They make decent stuff, it’s just not worth the prices they are charging.  I suspect we’ll see more and more “sales” and most likely start seeing them in more retailers.

They won't be in big golf box stores. They have and will continue to open their own stores. 100 stores is the vision I have been told. There's one about to be opened in my city with others planned for 2022. As far as premium pricing, just look around, everyone is charging equal or more than PXG.

The answer to the OP question is in the weekly tournament pics posted on this site...Yes, one just needs to look and see..

But you know, It's a same ol' same ol' PXG thread...Not so innocent question, brings the hate hornets out in swarms, swat them, rinse & repeat...BP gonna do what BP wants to do and he should since he's a lot more business savy and successful than the "hornets"...

I paid the $50 and hit a few different things. I was there for a driver, but I'm sure I could have hit anything I wanted. It was at a country club down the street from my office hitting on the range. It was supposed to be a fitting, but it was me asking for stuff to hit. He had a Trackman set up, but I didn't look at it. I saw what I needed.
