Are they going to talk about "calculations" on literally every shot Bryson plays? For crying out loud, they all do "calculations" to figure out what to hit/do on most shots.

This is a good point. If he shed all but his club sponsors, focused solely on golf, and stopped having six with his wife to retain his vrill, I think he will win a major.

Goes back years ago at Waste Mgnt where he had like 205-10 over water and he laid up with wedge and ended up losing.. Arnie asked him later in an interview if he'd lay up again instead of hitting a 4 or 5 iron .. Fowler told him he'd still lay up.. Arnie looked at him like he had a horn coming outta his forehead!  No killer instinct!

Its not over. Wolffs par saving hole halving putt on the par 5 kept him alive. 3 shots can be made up. Wolff has to stick to his game plan. Pressing will give it away to BD

I don't see your point. I'm assuming that you're saying that being overcommitted hasn't hurt him, but if Rickie wants to win more and win a major I don't see why he shouldn't do what Tiger did when he ditched IMG.

3 shots in a US open isn't a lot I agree.  Only thing is its just 1 guy that's close. If Wolff has a bad hole Bryson can start oiling himself up for the championship photo shoot

But a few years ago he hit driver on 17 and put in in the water behind the hole and lost the tournament. He took some big gambles by going right at the pin at 17 and hammering a driver on 18 at the Players and that worked out well. He's seen both sides.

I mean the way he is playing you can't change anything. In the long run, I think he should go single length irons and then shorter sand and lob. Feel like he struggles with those high lofted shots

If the USGA rolls the ball back I don't see how that benefits the shorter players. Wolff and Bryson would still be at the top of this leaderboard. Bryson got super long  the last 9 months not through golf technology, but through fitness and diet. Not saying that the ball shouldn't be rolled back for the players, but I wouldn't do that just to try to make the gap between the shorter and longer players smaller.

Mistake by both out of the rough. Bryson had to play that move left out of that ball above his feet lie. His caddy should have pointed it out. And wolffe had to get that on the green and make 4 instead of getting too cute and trying for birdie. Both imo are starting to respond to pressure and make mental mistakes.
