Did you get to see the new apex pros in hand? I saw a picture of them and they look pretty sweet but didn't get to see them in person.

Nooo sadly. But I can tell you that tour player are not gonna play the apex pro because of the cup face but they are gonna play the x forged or a modified version of it like like Xander is testing right now.

Yea the marketing I saw on it they were saying its 4 yards longer than the previous Apex Pro's but have more consistency with spin. They just looked so good with that blade look. I'm stuck ordering the cb's now or waiting and seeing what they apex pros look like in feb.

A shame they are doing away with the adjustable fairways & hybrids. If I already had an upgraded shaft it was easy to swap it into the new model. Oh well...

I agree but the only way to get gains these days is to reduce weight so it can be placed elsewhere.

Got to see all the new thing for 2021 today and got my hands on the 2 new FW. Really like the shape of the epic speed fw because it just little bit open . Also the max LS is going to get even lower spin that the mavrik Subzero. Can confirm that both fairway wood are glued hosel. Also the color are green, black and white. They should go through the USGA confirming list very very soon so keep your eyes open!!!! Can also say that they going very very hard on the ball market with a new product who’s based on what the tour pro want. Can also say that they gonna have 3 other new iron that are very different from the new x forged line. Overall I was very very impressed by the callaway line up for 2021.

Is the head shape of the sub zero model (max or whatever this iteration is called) similar in shape to the Epic Flash SZ or are they going the direction of TaylorMade with the shallower club head?

the apex pro do a lot of flyer in the rough. Also the pro player saw some big distance gab with the same club so it was not very consistent when we talk about distance. The apex pro look very much like a mb but with some other aspect. The face is also pretty big. Very liked the look of it on photo. The picture you saw with a apex model that Xander was testing are just inspired form the x forged. The real retail apex pro look very very different it look more like the new apex mb. Also I got the confirmation that Xander was gonna play the x forget as of now.

The apex normal and the other apex look like the apex 2019 with some small change you still get the same design with the black back of the club with the apex logo on it.

I don’t had them in hand but I would think yess. Based on the fact that the epic speed FW (sub zero) looked like the epic flash SZ. But the line up his weird. You have the epic speed who has a weight in the front with no sliding weight in the back after this you have the max and the max LS. I can tell you that the normal max got a long head shape (front to back). Also I’m not 100% sure but the max ls is a 460cc driver with a sliding weight in the back and it’s very very very low spin.

A little disappointing if there isn’t a new PM grind. Hopefully they don’t discontinue the line. Might be time for a 64* backup purchase.

Same here.  Love these wedges.  Couple of back ups might get picked up (definitely if they reduce them!).

Did you happen to catch what the stock or "featured" shafts are in this line of woods? Tend to be pretty similar to what Titleist goes with, so guessing Tensei Raw, HZRDUS Smoke RDX, and some light, wet noodle.

Sad for Callaway if they don't offer adjustable fairways. Sure the general population doesn't adjust settings but they also won't notice the performance gains from a glue hosel. I used adjustability to easily switch shafts and to open the face/change lie. When you can't do that with closed upright retail heads there is zero point in purchasing.

Granted I've been fortunate to use a couple Tour Issue bonded EF Sub Zero's over the last couple years so that solves my problem. Never went to Mavrik in the FW simply because of the bonded hosel.

It'd make more sense to go bonded in the standard line and adjustable in the SZ line as the demographics would almost divide the club nuts vs the average joe's. Oh well.

Anyone else see a pic of the epic flash speed posted earlier today in a new thread? Got taken down pretty quickly still managed a look though.

Not sure what epic flash speed model it was but had a fixed weight at back, colour was green white and yellow looked better than the mavrik for sure, also noticed something interesting around the jailbreak area at the front there are now 2 smaller metal discs in between the 2 larger ones maybe they have added more bars to jailbreak guess we will find out soon enough.

Wish i saved the pic now.

The one I saw had the adjustable neck. But no sliding weight. Just a rear circle weight like the Mavrik.

it did appear to have 4 jailbreak disks. 2 normal on the outside and 2 smaller in the middle
