White Hot OG?!

Was planning to get a 7s but ended up preferring the good ol' #1.  Placed an order for one with a Strokelab shaft.  Will give it a shot at the stock 360g headweight but I expect I'll want to up it to the 380g range.

Here is my OG 2-ball. The only thing I wish it had from factory was a single sight line down the middle. So I fixed that myself with some Testors flat black enamel. 

 

Odyssey did a great job on the looks of these. Hopefully it rolls well on the course.

I have the non stroke-lab #7 and I want to bring the weight down to 345g. Even though I dont have the stroke-lab version they still use the same weight kit right?

I've never really been an insert guy but I got a chance to roll these in the store last week and I will say the feel was nice and different. Definitely did remind me of old Odyssey inserts in a good way.

 

I don't think I'm hoping off the milled putter train anytime soon, but I may still pickup one of these to have around once they hit CPO. Fun putters.

Anyone still waiting on their pre-order to be delivered?  I've e-mailed and called customer service and supposedly it should be shipping soon....ordered on 1/22.  Really frustrating how long it is taking.  Should have just went to golf galaxy and got one there and regripped it wth the grip I wanted myself.

got my SL 7S at GG this last weekend, I bent it to 2 degrees loft and had to bend back to 3 as it laid open at address at 2 degrees...

The 7s I pre-ordered was fianlly delivered today...no notification that it shipped of course haha.  Happy it arrived and I am very impressed so far with the first few rolls.  We will see how it does on the course once it warms up.

I rolled the rossie s at dick sporting goods. the feel was amazing. just wish they were offering the #9. rossie s is almost like a #9 but not quite.

Picked up a non-stroke lab 7 and it has 10g weights. The weights do have a cavity that can fit 5g of lead tape folded over with corners trimmed. My understanding is that oworks and stroke lab weights are interchangeable.

Can anyone confirm if these shafts are cut shorter than stated length? I want to replace the standard grip with my preferred Lamkin deep etched but the grip cap looks way larger. Worried I’m going to replace the grip and find it a quarter inch or half inch shorter than expected.

I loved the looks of Akshay's 2ball 10. I see that they have this on the Odyssey Japan site, but it's with the microhinge. I really hope they release this model here in the US with the OG insert.

I ordered my #7 at 34" (non stroke lab shaft) and it's the same length as all of my other 34" putters.

I struggle a bit with understanding these putters. So is odyssey saying everything since the original white hit was marketing and that was the best insert? What about the roll hinge that was the “best” before? Was it the best just because they didn’t want to make the bestest best any more??

Thanks. Pulled the standard grip and confirmed that. Endcap looks big but is actually really small. Putting on a deep etched added 1/4 inch.

Customers wanted them to bring back the original white hot insert and I was one of them. Odyssey listened. 

 

Give them 20 more years to come out with the OG 2.
