Would like some Cally Apex clarification on one point: The MMT graphite option definitely grabbed my attention. So, I looked up the 95 weight class on the MCA website and guess what? It isn't there. Across both the taper and parallel versions there are 85,90, and 105s --no 95s. So is the 95 a made-for version?

The spec page on Callaway’s site says 80, 90 and 105. My guess is the 80 and 90 are parallel tip and the 105 is taper tip. Check Mitsubishi’s site and you’ll see how the specs break down.

Yes please 🥳

The sim2 is very good has great feel and ball speed. Is it faster than sim? Probably not much.

I think it launches higher. I typically cannot get an 8 degree head up in the air. But in the SIM2 I think if I was to play it. I would go with the 8. For comparison, I went with the 10 degree TSi3 so I could get my launch up to where it needs to be.

it has great feel. I really enjoyed hitting it.

the G425 it looks good, feels good, sounds ok, I think it is pretty loud and tingy. It launches and spins good But, it is slow.. it was quite a bit slower than literally everything else..

What are the launch comparisons between the 8 SIM2 and your 9 SIM? I played the 9 SIM all of last year so just curious what you were seeing.

The sim2 launches higher in my opinion. I was getting the same launch with an 8 degree sim2 as I was a 10 degree TSi3.

individual mileage may vary. But I was surprised by that. The good thing is the spin did not spike with the launch so that could very will be a very good thing..

Another head to head.. based on looks. The taylormade wins in my mind.

the epic speed LS is a bit stretched looking.

Interesting that the G425 was slower.   Wouldn't have thought that from previous Ping drivers.   Good to know.   Thanks.

Have you hit the Max LS yet?   How does it compare with the Sim2?

The max LS is good. I like it, other than the shape.. I don’t understand why they stretched it out..

true. But it is not the best looking “players” driver out this year by a decent margin.

I think the Speed is the best looking head mostly because it looks like my Mavrik which was deadly for me.  From the reviews on YouTube, it’s not too far off the spin of the LS. My testing is set for Wednesday and I will be focusing on Speed and LS against my Mavrik. Should be fun!

The problem with the speed it is slightly draw biased. The LS is the only neutral bias head.

Callaway calls it semi-draw. Which is better than robust draw.
Wonder if you got down 1 o2 degrees on the adapter if it takes care of the semi-draw.

Sure but it would be nice if it was neutral. Interestingly it seems that the tour guys are using a tour version of the speed. Not the LS.

Yes, totally agree.  Most people who don't know there is draw bias will greatly benefit from it.  I haven't seen any of the new Callaway stuff in the flesh to know if the draw is from internal weighting or face angle.

Between the bonded fairways and 11 drivers on the USGA conforming list, this years release has left me a little less excited than most Epic reveals.

I will give them credit for the ability to remove the chevron on the crown as an option through Callaway Customs.
