You guys are killing me with this Operator. Maybe I need to pick one up!

It is as stable or more than the gunboat.

To me, the gunboat is the odyssey 2ball fang except with the alignment line (forget what odyssey called that). The operator is the spider tour.

I owned both. The 2ball.fang is very, very stable. So is the spider tour. Just a matter of what you like to look down at.

To me though, the balance of the operator is the best of any putter I've ever owned.

Long time Spider user so maybe I would like the Operator. Just don't remember like looking down at it. I am needing the most stable putter on the planet!!

Purchased the One & Done with the weight kit in December. Struggled with the heavy weight of the putter and it was sidelined until I ordered some lighter weights and now have 2 x 2.5 grams in the front and 2 x 10 gram weights in the rear and the putter rolls great. Weight kit does not include any weights lighter than 5 grams.

The head looks wonderful and like the black shaft and black Lamkin Sink Pistol grip.

One major problem however, the shafts are so cheap that the black is flaking from the shaft showing bare metal. I keep this putter in its own slot in the bag so nothing rubs up against the shaft. I have a Spider X that I have played with the past year with Black KBS shaft and it shows no signs of wear.

After just 10 rounds with the One & Done the shaft has numerous places where it is flaking, can't be the heat as its still in the 60's in Texas. Why have a good product and go cheap on the shaft?

Now I probably have to spend the money and get a KBS CT Tour Putter shaft and a new grip unless I can effectively save the existing grip.

Also be aware any weights or other items ordered, PXG is very slow in filling orders and slow shipping, 2 weights took me 3 weeks to recieve.

I'm pretty sure pxg uses the matte finish kbs ct tour shaft.

I went to same weight setup and it is really good now, Agree on the shaft. Mine is shipping so bad. Very cheap shaft from PXG. Disappointing.

I checked my build sheet and they use a True Temper Black putter shaft in the One & Done.  Spoke with PXG and they said to send in and they will repair but it would take a minimum of 2 weeks.

I heard back from them and they will repair however will only replace the shaft with a chrome shaft !  I bought this putter because I liked the look of the all black putter and their answer to having a problem with their shafts is to replcae it with a plain chrome shaft. I will be installing a black KBS CT Tour and not do business with PXG again.

PXG Area Fitting Rep contacted me and finally someone explained the situation. During Covid KBS stopped manufacturing the CT Tour Black shaft and PXG switched to the Black True Temper shaft. They are experiencing a problem with the True Temper black putter shafts so all replacements and repairs are using a chrome shaft. Why they didn't communicate this to their customers in the first place would have resolved my numerous emails and phone conversations with customer service.

Interesting. I wonder when they shifted to the TT shaft. I had no issues with my blackjack and I had it for a couple of months before I installed a ct tour in it.

I have an operator now and a battle ready mustang that both have a small chip in the paint on the shaft.

The shaft is junk, PXG should really be ashamed of the quality. I’ve had my bat attack for a bout a month and the shaft has paint bubbles in it. I sent to have a stability shaft put in yesterday so hopefully that solves most of the issue. I realize they keep a small portion of the original shaft but hoping it’s not an issue.

I'm actually interested in the Battle Ready Brandon. Seems like the least talked about from PXG.

Of course I have to demo that one too! Could be as stable as @getitdaily beloved bride "The Operator"?

That one looks solid. I have the br mustang and it's good. If you're a wide blade guy then the mustang or closer should be tested. Super stable for a wide blade.

I had wanted to wait until the BR Closer was released to be able to try it, but was impatient and went to a PXG store for a putter fitting this past weekend - can certainly confirm the Mustang is very stable for a blade.

Ended up putting the best with, and ordering, a One and Done though, man that thing is just so easy to line up. Felt almost as stable as the Operator which is ridiculously stable, but was basically just point and shoot with all the alignment features.

The operator is my gamer. I'll likely keep the mustang around for the summer when greens can get slow here in Orlando. I putted the 1&d before. It's very stable.  Pxg has a putter for everyone. They are my new favorite putter brand. Heck, you can get a plumber's neck in any head they offer. That's enough to make me a.fan.
