Seriously, at first I was excited that we were getting 5 hours of coverage. However, we're not getting any more shots. Can't begin to count the number of players taking more than a minute, and in some cases two minutes, to hit a shot. 

 

Can't blame the final group, as they're in position. The rules officials are obviously not riding the first groups out.

Really drives home the point as to the heat for the players!   At least those that are not as accustomed to playing in it as often.

Golf Channel is showing a feed produced from Asia out of their control/production. They have zero control over it. Same as the Euro Tour broadcasts.

Although it's 4 months away....I'm guessing that Golf Canada (in discussions with CP & the LPGA) will announce the CWO cancellation by July.

Although it is played in June....Golf Canada announced the cancellation of the CO back in March.

 

Canada has a slow vaccine rollout and is currently challenged to contain the spread of the new variants....many provinces have some form of lockdowns with restricted travel.

 

The members at Shaughnessy wouldn't be disappointed on a CWO cancellation and having to give up their club for 2 weeks.

All the privates here have jammed packed tee sheets.

If the CWO does proceed ....and with current Covid restrictions....the members of Shaughnessy can not play the other privates where they know members because the private clubs currently have no guests allowed because of the pandemic.

 

And it's near impossible to obtain good tee times at the public courses worth playing .

Yes...In Gee's nickname is DUMBO....her fan club are The Flying Dumbo's.

In Gee will  also acknowledge you if you called her DUMBO.

Her golf bag has DUMBO on it.

 

I've only seen In Gee once at the 2016 KPMG...In Gee is SUPER friendly.

Her coach Dr. Won Park gave her the nickname.

 

I chatted with 4 Flying Dumbo's at the KPMG....3 of them flew in from Seoul...the other from San Diego...they were hilarious.

One guy chatted non stop with me in Korean for 10 minutes...I had no clue what he was saying....the guy from SD was acting as interpreter. 

 

In Gee and Sung Hyun Park have huge fans clubs....each of them have approx 8000-10000 fan members each.

 

The Flying Dumbo's are mainly guys...while SHP's fans are mainly women.

 

I wish I attended the 2018 Int't Crown in Incheon, S. Korea...there were so many nutball fan there.

We'll see.  They've got till July.  British Columbia is already 48-50 % vaccinated (1st dose), saying the 16 weeks interval could be shortened to 6 weeks.

Yup, Lydia is a bag of bones....TV makes one look larger...I can't imagine how skinny Lydia is in real life.

 

Tina needs to sign KFC as a sponsor for Lydia ASAP....with unlimited barrels of chicken covenant in the contract...lol.

 

BTW....the KPLGA is currently playing the Kyochon Honey Ladies Open this week...it's a Korean fried chicken restaurant chain.

I just realized the TV coverage is much better with the sound off.  Why presenters feel the need to yammer on I'll never know.  I just wish I could hear the ambient sounds.
