I would think it's bec quite a few will still test positive for remnants even if they're not sick and are fully well/recovered.

That was the case with the PGA when they kept testing players who were recovered but still show remnants even as late as 90 days.

Needless to say, tests are not fool proof and will not always be "correct" esp for recovered Covid patients/golfers.

Again that's the PGA, I am just surmising that the LET/LPGA followed what the PGA actually are doing now in 2021

Example: Jon Rahm couldn't play Olympics he tested positive in day 3 of the tests... But is Jon Rahm allowed to play if it was a PGA event? Yes...

It's in the minutae...

This is exactly what happened to me. Had Covid in early January. Had knee replacement surgery scheduled for March 10 with a required Covid test on 7th. Despite no symptoms whatsover since early January, I test positive. Had the surgery 2 weeks later and they didn't even retest me. Got the vaccine and had the other knee replaced 6 weeks ago. I'm raring to go 🙂

Rahm had to WD at Memorial with a 6 shot lead heading into Sunday...so why is Reto allowed to play?

Should be a fun final round.

Great round by Pajaree. Emma and Chella not so much. They could have really separated themselves. Will Jennifer overcome her Sunday doldrums? Atthaya still in the hunt.

Anannarukarn and Thitikul are going to be right there for a long time

Both will have to demonstrate some consistent long term 2+ years of good performance on the LPGA before I'll say a pro has a potential long term successful golf career....one has yet to be a LPGA member...though I will say Thitikul has very good talent.

I'm rooting for either one to win tomorrow....fanboying Thitikul a bit more.

Like KBong and Argonne, watched the replay in double quick time with a lot of fast-forward action. This format is just awful.

The course looks easy to me, but apparently isn't at all!!

Interesting to watch a tournament without any of the cold-blooded killers in the field. I thought Kupcho, with superior power and overall game would stamp her authority in R3, but...nope.

Loving Pajaree at the moment. She's a little bit untidy at times, but has real aggression for the big prize.

And congrats to Xander!

I thought I'd call it, before it actually happens.  You know, make a prediction before it's a rather easy call.  Some would consider this a "fools errand", but I like to surf on the wild side 😄

Not sure who is, but its just empty cliches delivered in a tired pseudo-intelligent dull, English drone!

The lady in the coverage has about the worst estimation of distance you'll ever see.  Yesterday she called a putt that was at least 5 feet "a three footer".  Today it was a 9 foot putt that she thinks is "a six footer"

Congrats to Parajee...I'm happy she won!

Now we need a Thitikul and Porna LPGA win.

Thailand will have a great team at the Int'l Crown.

Parajee lagged putted poorly at the end...but she was so brilliant/clutch with all those great long par putt saves.

Was Parajee assessed an additional penalty for picking up her ball w/o marking it 1st in her triple bogey?

Glad to see the male trophy presenters standing far away from Parajee at the trophy presentation instead of trying to give her a sandwich kiss.

Gotta LUV Charley swinging so hard her glasses are always falling off.

BLADES loves to play the tips with her male mates when she's back home.

Charley thinks golfers who don't play blades are kinda cheatin.

Of the other English players...I also like Jodi Hyphen.

I think Hull, Dame Laura Davies and Alison Lee would be most fun to share a few libations with.

Laura deserves a Solheim pick....they need her leadership in the war room.

Watching Dame Laura on Feherty right now...great interview.

A key indicator of Thitkul's potential golf brilliance is her long tenure as a top Am in the WAGR rankings.

While I was rooting for Jeen Thitikul to win/come back (plus a lot of the coverage was on her early on LOL), I'll take the Pajaree win... Congratulations to Thailand...    I agree the coverage (given the format) was "awful" to watch - and I didn't really DVR this so this took a "back seat" to the Olympic coverage (I still need to sleep a few hours even if some call sleeping underrrated / for wimps only LOL)

What I witnessed last night/this morning from CT Pan though teaches me to not waste any stroke  (even if I was rooting for Hideki from day 1).   And that some no cut events make for interesting golf...

PS Sorry for the big pic and the diversion to men's olympic golf - easier to show why every stroke counts

Ya..of the 3 on top...I would say Kupcho has the most talent.

But rinsing her approach shot did her in.

I have a poor memory....I think Kupcho is a poor closer???

I think Kupcho is BORING to watch

EXCEPT

She's so close to a club toss/tomahawk into the water at anytime.

Has there ever been a LPGA pro who has helicoptered a club?....many instances on the men's tours.

Hideki putted like GARBAGE....he should have won gold.

Hideki is 180th in strokes gained putting of 206 players.

I'm glad CT Pan won bronze.

Is there some DRAMA between Hideki and Morikawa?

In the playoff....as Higeki walked up to the tee block...both never acknowledged one another.

Yes, Hideki's putts - were giving me the YIPS holding my coffee/espresso last night/this morning! Ugh... oh well, he has the Masters 2021 ☺︎

I don't think there's any drama btwn the 2 -- Morikawa was dead serious about bronze... but again, I am not Hideki (even if I follow him as much as I follow some Philippine women's golfers) LOL...

As an aside,  and to bring the topic back to LPGA at least since this is an LPGA forum ( I AM GUILTY OF BRINGING IT OFF TOPIC TO OLYMPIC MEN'S GOLF in the first place 🤣)... CT Pan was doused in water after winning bronze (LPGA style) by both WEI LING HSU AND MIN LEE on the 18th green after winning the playoff against Morikawa!     ☺︎  Gotta love that aspect to it!
