2022 Ping Hoofer?

I do like how the legs don’t keep stretching out.  
 

my k1LO bag, when set on concrete would fully open then the weight of the bag would continue to push the legs further open.  This hoofer lite doesn’t.  
 

 

I like my H2NO a lot but I want to see how this hoofer is to carry.  I love the straps so far.

Is there a fix for the legs doing this and not snapping back? I’ve had numerous versions of this bag and they all do this.

I am loving my midnight so far. Feels lighter than 5 pounds for sure. Almost top-heavy. Love the straps. They never seem to tangle. Zippers are so smooth  ( I’m coming from a SM H2NO with waterproof zippers so, not smooth) So far, great bag.

Saw one this weekend at the PGASS. Great color, probably my favorite overall just too many pockets for my liking.

 

If you're considering the purchase I would go with it. Really wish they would have made the HL in Mono colors. Love my USA HL but after a few rounds the black from cart straps rubs off on all that white.

Just got the slate one I ordered today and you're right.  Definitely great color.  Best one I have seen in years actually.  LOVE IT!

Saw the all white version of the Hoofer Lite at my store last week... It was hard not to pull the trigger but I have to say, I am not sure what Ping is doing with the pockets in the newer bags, they just seem useless.  The Hoofer does have A LOT of room, but the HL seems to have very little.  Great looking bag though.  I passed on it and found an older 4 Series and to me, the pocket set up is MUCH better than the HL.

I find the pocket layouts of the 4 Series and Hoofer Lite to be nearly identical.  Just slight tweaks on the top valuables pocket (primarily appearance) and the water bottle pockets.

Edit- unless you're talking pre-2015ish 4 Series, forgot about those versions

I think mine is a 2017.... but the water bottle pocket for sure is better and the side "tool" pocket seems a little larger.  Not having the cart strap pass through isn't ideal but most other bags don't have that anyway.  Thought that was a nice touch.

 

EDIT*  For some other reason, I find there to be less club tangle in the 4 Series, too.  Not sure why but it's the reason I stopped trying the HL, and I had 3 of them.

For longevity and aesthetics the Navy/Heather Gray is still the best option for the HL Which sadly is no longer an option for purchase. Unless @brew4eagle is willing to part with his! LOL

I like the look of the Slate / White / Silver & perhaps the Navy / Bright Blue / Red. These are not available to my knowledge in Canada yet but I believe we're getting close.
