Nelly didn't make a wave today, not even a ripple.  Whether she keeps her No. 1 ranking will be decided by how the denominators change between she and Jin Young Ko.

They said it on the telecast.  She needed solo 18th or better, not the top-10 you predicted before the event. That’s strike two.

Can't speak for all of us but I'm a huge Lyds fan. Stoked she's back to winning.

DK being home team for me, I want her to win but I won't be bummed when she loses to Lydia.

I saw a Hanwha road manager at H-Mart with the Hanwha stable of LPGA pro in 2015.

I remember that!!  There were posters everywhere on North Road (where the H-Mart is) warning the LPGA players to be on the lookout for some guy with a sock fetish!  😄 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just kidding!   But, I understand a lot of the Korean players like the fact that they can find lots of their favourites here.   Is there an H-Mart in Richmond?  With the CP Open played at Shaughnessy, it will probably be a little too far for them to trek out to North Road.  It was much easier when it was being hosted by Vancouver Golf Club (just down the road a short distance).

Kang is American so it’s really not all that bad lol

Kang is an American Korean who also speaks fluent Korean....she knows better than to flip the "bird"....ESPECIALLY in S. Korea and respect the country's etiquette....kinda like spitting in Singapore.

The picture was from The Hana Bank Championship....played in Incheon, S. Korea.

It's no wonder Kang is not endorsed/sponsored by the Koreans....unlike a non attention seeking Perth, Australian born, Minjee Lee (Hana Ambassador)...and minimal drama American born Yealimi Noh too (Hana Ambassador).

I just like to trash her attention seeking style.🤣

Now that I think about it, I was hoping Lydia wouldn't snipe the ANA from Patty T last year and was glad she didn't. So I guess there was one time I was all "LYDIA NOOOO!"

So are you an Inbee, Gulbis and GIMMEE fanboy too?

Was it big news there when Erica Blasberg committed suicide in 2010 in Henderson?

So is Brooke Henderson using a 46" driver this week?  With the 46" MLR in place I assume she had to.  Odd that she is still choking down 2".  This implies that the counterweight feel for her is more important than having a full 46" club to swing.

She's seems too short for 46". Therefore the choke. She's one of my fav's but misses too many puts. I have 1" extra long arm lengths and choke it nearly 2". Could never get used to the 46" lengths coming from the 44" era. Maybe some truth to this *  In fact, the winner of the 2018 Masters used a driver that is 44.5 inches long and the 2nd place finishers driver length was 44.5 inches as well.

Brooke normally uses a 48" driver.  She has used that length her entire career.  The adoption of the USGA's 46" club length limit MLR by the LPGA in March is going to adversely impact her game.

Completely agree.  Except she went to the 48" inch driver 3-4 years ago when the driver length was changed (2016, I believe).   But regardless of driver length, she has always gripped down on all of her woods, hybrids, irons, wedges.

Here is a story looking at her switch to the 48" inch driver:

Hello McFly....knee highs >>>> socks....obviously you don't play a lot of golf with Korean women.🤣

Rumours are...in 2012 & 2015....if the Korean LPGA pros went to dinner in KoreaTown on North Rd...the owner would comp their meal.

A volunteer from Calgary also told me a group of Korean business men offered the team that drew Se Ri Pak into their pro-am group....$20,000 to switch pros at the 2009 CN CWO..

There are 7 H-Mart locations in the GVRD....including downtown, Richmond, Dunbar & UBC.

Yes...Richmond is closer to Shaughnessy....but traffic can be BRUTAL on Marine Dr....I assume if they stay in Richmond....the River Rock casino might be a good choice.....Muni, Janet and Yu Liu will feel very welcomed in Richmond.🤣

But I think the pros should stay downtown....a better vibe and better restaurants.

Tina will likely be staying in West Vancouver...she was bragging about a RICH Chinese guy she knows who has a multi million $ waterfront house...I think she met him at Lake Merced in 2012???....USGA Jr. Girls.

There are approx. 500,000 Chinese in the GVRD...and Tina asked me if I knew the guy...LMAO...she's so funny....LUV Tina.

She better hope there's no accident on the Lion's Gate bridge.

I think there's quite a few PGA tour pros who play driver at 44-44.5" (or at least experimented) for better dispersion....many don't need to chase excessive length.

I do not think for a single moment that there is anyone that follows the LPGA forum, even moderately in the past year, that does not know that we are referring to knee high socks! 🤣   And for the record, I do play a fair bit with Korean women . . . they keep inviting me to join their 3-some so that they can all take my money playing their various gambling games!  🤣🤣🤣   But we do share some drinks afterwards and they have the best attitude when it comes to golf!   We've also paired up in mixed charity tournaments and its been a blast too!   Except others thought we brought in ringers!

Agree....I think it's a BIG mental block for Brooke that will take time to overcome.

I myself have been choking down about 3/4" on my driver since late 2019 to get better ball strikes...therefore better ball speed.

I also choke down a bit on my 4W and 3&4H too.

Brooke & Dave HATE Mollie.

I'm thinking about trolling Brooke at 2023 CP CWO at Shaughnessy.

I'll make a 36" x 48"  banner with "Mollie S****" and follow Brooke play and see if Brooke & Dave come over to get a selfie taken with the banner with some BIG thumbs up.....so I can post it onto lpga.com

Shortly afterwards....if you see a guy on GC being dragged, handcuffed and escorted off the golf course by the RCMP...that would be me.

I'll then join @Argonne69 on the front page of the LPGA SECURITY BINDER.🤣

I didn't know her when the tournament took place at a semi private course...but a Korean lady I used to golf with who is a very good golfer...invited her 3 RINGER Korean GF's to play in the women's division scramble.....they SMOKED the other women.

I heard all the KAREN members on the patio were GRUMBLING when the Korean ladies went up to collect their prizes take pictures with the trophy....lol.

I gotta believe Dame Laura is the UBER gambler on the LPGA.

I heard that the casino by the hockey arena is closed???

I suspect in 2023 that there will be lots of hotel rms available in downtown....I don't see the convention/conference business rebounding yet.

I wasn't all that impressed with Jenny Money when I met her...she's not as friendly as one might think...a bit of a phony???

I was gonna give her a bag of White Rabbit candy cause she's a fellow country woman...but instead...I was handing out the candy to some fans in the seating at the range at the VGC.

The LPGA is much more entertaining overall than the PGA. The Asian game has encouraged more to work harder on basics of the game. Proof is in the pudding. Many tournaments will be paying off winners with 1+M $$.

I think the LPGA is more entertaining than the PGA outside of the PGA premier events .....because there are fewer LPGA events...so more LPGA stars show up to play and also many of the top tier LPGA pros are winning or contending in these events on a weekly basis....the LPGA isn't as deep in talent as the PGA tour.

So it can be tough to watch a lower tier PGA event where few PGA stars are playing and seeing "no names" or unfamiliar names contending and winning more

I'm disappointed Dumbo wasn't on the green to congrat Lydia.

Who is the guy with a the Hana cap?....maybe a Hana road manager for the Hana LPGA pros.

I saw a Hanwha road manager at H-Mart with the Hanwha stable of LPGA pro in 2015.

Lydia & Danielle are favorites of mine (used to be Lexi, but she's been disappointing).  Great win for Lydia today, & Danielle can't be too unhappy, with her two first tournaments of the season & she takes a 1st and a 2nd...not too shabby.  I think Brooke Henderson's constant missing of 4 & 5' putts on the back nine was sad.  I also thought she'd get some new clothes for the new season, but so far, the same stuff. 🤣

LMAO...tru dat.

Assuming she's still on tour....I'll have to fanboy Muni in 2023.

Hopefully The Future Great Lady Golfer of China...the Zhangster...turns pro by 2023 and shows up to Van City.

I'll have to bring them some nice Chinese pastries from Chinatown....unfortunately....I was not able to hand Meng Wanzhou some nice pastries on her SUDDEN departure back to China.

If Ruby Chen is SMART...she'll contact Meng and see if Muni, Janet and Yu Liu can stay at her $6M & $14M houses a short drive from Shaughnessy.

Inbee's a lovely person. Actually ran into her and her husband at our short game practice area a couple weeks ago ahead of the Hilton Grand. Watching her practice chipping makes me feel really, really terrible about my short game.

Never much cared for Natalie. Not sure of the GIMMEE nickname. As far as Erica goes; was living in LA in 2010 so dunno.

Congrats to Lydia..

Bit disappointed with Danielle wanting to putt last..

Yes, Lydia's ball was in the way, but she was less than 2 feet away..

It looked like Danielle was asking Lydia after she putted about it and Lydia acknowledged.   Seemed like they agreed on this even if it is typical for winner to putt last.   Given how good of friends they are I am certain they were in sync.

Tru dat....such a poor dresser.

I think many of the gals are tomboys and have ZERO fashion sense...they OBVIOUSLY didn't use @Argonne69 fashion thread as guidance.

Pre-Covid when they had pro-am gala dinners...IMO the best dressed LPGA pros were Nicole Castrale, So Yeon Ryu and Ai Miyazato.

Some of the gals were so TERRIBLE....some looked liked they showed up in a POTATO SACK.
