Those look fantastic. I had MMT125 TX in my ZX7s, but hook them a lot. Went to 120 TX, and the ball flight is much better, but the wrist pain is back. Have you hit either of those shafts compared to the L series?

what swingweight did Peoples get them to?

As built they were C7 (straight in with midsize zcords). At first I was very quick in transition and hit a lot left. I've now got about 8g of lead tape which is bring my SW to D0 and they are MUCH better. Driver, 3W at D4, 2HY at D0 and wedges are at D5.

I am a Project X 7.0 player and really do like them; clubs are all D4.

I am tempted to get Artisan irons when my lower number comes up and if I do I think I might just go all out and get these shafts for them. The lack of swing weight worries me as I like D4 in my irons, the Artisan heads are heavy though like my Blueprints so hopefully ok. I am 3/4 inch over standard Ping and no idea now how that relates to other manufacturers.

Anyone seem to get theirs to D4?

TXG mentioned the i230's coming in pretty light, that would be a concerning match for the L series right?

You can order i230's at a specific SW. Due to the toe and heel weight, they are able to dial in SW. You can also add lead tape - it'll make you look pro and deduct 2 points from your hcp.

Keep in mind overall static weight will be the main focus , the shafts play slightly counterbalanced so the comparable swingweight scale you see won’t be indicative of feel.

Ping noob here, where do I go for their custom service? I tried searching around today with minimal luck.  The best I found was Discount Dan on here, best spot?

I just did that. I ordered a set of i230 with DG 120 as D5 swing weight. I'm hoping when I install the LAGP shaft I can be close to D0-D1.

For those who are gaming these (thinking of trying out the L series) did you install the wedge shaft on your PW? I see that they don't list a PW length shaft in the irons category, but the wedges seem to be a stock length? Thanks in advance. I probably wouldn't switch my wedges out to these yet, as my wedge shafts are different from my iron shafts.

Not 100% sure on your question. There are LA Golf wedge specific shafts and then there is a wedge shaft that is for the 4 and 5 series shaft sets.

But yes , 35.75" PW and stepped the 120 5 shaft in my GW @35.5.

I’d bet all the heads have the same tungsten towards the bottom ground bore that you can’t see , but they’d add shaft tip weights to get the weight up per order.
When I reshafted my i59’s , this was also the case.

From what I'm hearing they add both toe and hosel weight to keep it balanced

Yes , same thing with the I59's , but neither can you change. I ordered D3 I59's and they had tip weights in the shaft to get it to my desired build. "If" they do this same thing with the i230's , you'll have to add your own graphite tip weights to get your D0-D1 in the LAGP shafts. You can search some of our convo on the i59's where it was discussed.

Just posted this in the i230 thread, tldr; no tip weights for Ping, they hit the swingweight using the center port and tungsten weights:

FYI:

I ordered a set of i230s (4-UW) with DG120 Stiff. The plan was to install LAGP L Series 120 Stiff shafts. These shafts are VERY butt weighted and typically swingweight 2-4 points lighter.

I ordered my i230s at D5 with the hopes of hitting D1/2 once the new shafts were installed.

I had heard previously that Ping uses tip weights which would have negated what I was trying to accomplish (LAGP have virtually no room for tip weights).

Happy to report Ping hit D5 with the stock DG120 but adjusting the CTP port and probably the tungsten weights so no tip weights were used. With the LAGP install the swingweight was near perfect.

Also, happy to report I still impress myself sometimes 😂

Picked up a set of L-120-04 shafts and built the 7i up with an Apex TCB head. Playing it 1” over standard around D4-D5 swingweight. Hit the range and was surprised at the results. General feel is the stiff flex is quite soft. I have a very aggressive transition and have decent speed so that doesn’t help. Smooth and stable but softer than I like. I think I’ll need to go up to the 05 flex. I was launching these super high with a peak height around 130-140 ft and could not flight them down to save my life. Curious if anyone else has had this experience.

What's your SS with driver? And does that translate down your bag? I am downgrading from stiff+ in my current shafts to the 4 in L series.

110-115 SS with Driver depending how hard I go at it. And im an aggressive swinger with the irons too. These feel like they play pretty true to their rating. Smooth and stable but a little soft for me. I’m gonna get an L-120-05 to compare and see if it’s just the flex or if it’s the profile. Coming from the PX 6.5 I normally play they feel quite different

Have you gotten the chance to hit them yet? Standard length build 38” 5 iron? Did you measure your head weights after pulling the dg 120 shafts per chance? Wonder if these are ordered stock sw with dg 105 the heavier weight of the lagp shaft will offset the higher balance point?
