I’m not sure how CME points work for invitees in no-cut events. When it used to be money and not points the money wasn’t considered official.

I thought about the same thing after posting but didn't correct it cause likely a Top 10 will buy her a  sponsors exemption or two later down the line.  probably not the next 2 events but I can see in the events after that.

Singha beer... I meant water in a bottle

Have you tried “Chang” beer 🐘  🍺 ? Chang has been a sponsor of women’s Golf in Thailand 🇹🇭 eg this interesting “challenge” video with Pajaree & Jeen/Atthaya interviewed by Virada Nirapathpongporn.

Singha does appear to sponsor lots of Thai men’s pro tour events. http://www.biggolfblog.com/all-thailand-golf-tour-announces-exciting-2022-schedule/

How does she not have a sponsorship from one of the major ice cream companies?

I got a laugh out of the male announcer Dom. Brooke was on the tee, and he said "she can hit that low, screaming cut."

How much LPGA golf has he watched in the past 7 years? Brooke has never hit a low screaming cut.

What's with the preferred lies? No wonder the scores were so low. Didn't look like any rain fell.

But from what I saw, the balls were landing soft and some with one hop only and no roll.  So definitely soft fairways.  But I agree with your point that lift, clean, place definitely is a friend to low scoring,

Is there anyone on the LPGA who comes to mind, wrt a “Low screaming cut”?

Maybe Charley Hull a.k.a. “blades”? (or Dame Laura Davies?)

on the PGA, Joaquin Niemann comes to my mind?

Been a fan for a few years myself, I think we saw glimpses last year of her potential in this league, I don't expect a top 10 player but maybe a steady top 25.

I'm with you on that, hopefully she is a top 25 player that can win sometimes rather than just compete - her record on the LET shows she knows how to get it done, she did well to defend her Kenya title last month (any defence is meritorious).

She also has this nice, slightly goofy personality which is endearing.

I think a lot of the courses in this part of the world are like that.  The soil seems to be very loosely packed and except when a course has redone the fairways it is odd to get more than 5 yards of roll on a drive (absent straight downwind, no rain for a few days, etc).  A lot of drives backup or hop forward once.  If I had to guess, a lot of balls are collecting small amounts of mud / sand on them.  Whether they should still play it down, maybe so...

Sentosa is usually pretty firm at the time the tournament is played (back of the relatively dry season) but I don't think it was this year.

@Supermilo You missed an "o" in "Pinacoooon"!! (😬🚫🤬

Any story/idea how Hinako got that nickname? It kinda reminds me of "Raccoon" (unfortunately? whereas Hinako has a much more endearing unraccoon-like smile)

I'm missing Nasa Hataoka's  ‘Hop-Hop-Hop’ pogo bounce pre-shot routine?

(commentators mentioned Nasa has only done it once today, i.e. 9th tee, in preparation for an extra-oomph tee shot)

Yes they have noticed it and actually mentioned it at the beginning of the show last night that they were going to update each other once they see her do that… eg dom was following the leader group… I think they should keep doing it with nasa and Sue continuing to hang in there… hopefully I can ensure myself of one winner I’m amongst the 10 I guessed… preferably Sue bec that’s my Ace 😂 eg the others have better chances in the future 😜

This is what I don't like about LPGA, they make the rules as they go.  Since I've been watching the LPGA, when 2 players shoot the same score and end on the same number, first one in has always been last one out.  Normally I don't care about pairings really but I feel Brooke is getting screwed, so is Minjee (but Minjee is spotted where she should be).  There are players you can get paired with that I consider round killer, like being paired with Angel Yin or Jennifer Kupcho on a Sunday when in contention.  My biggest round killer especially on the weekend is Carlota Ciganda.  Poor Minjee and Brooke, they might wanna bring a book to pass the time lol The best thing going for Minjee and Brooke is it isn't Sunday and Carlota isn't tied or a shot out of the lead 🙂

Carlota is the worst… completely concur... she deserves more penalties that noh, in my view, yet lpga doesn’t do much about this nonsense

I have a feeling su oh will start to fade starting tonight… putting has been great though as the pressure picks up I expect her to miss a bit more…

that almost albatross is clearly not replicated tonight so she’ll have to get her freebies somewhere else…

methinks nasa keeps up, hinako moves up and su fades… no, not anti jinx 😜🥸

The one thing I'll say is I haven't seen any of those 75 or 76 rounds popping up from Su this year.  In past seasons you'd usually see one every week, which was usually what would hold her back.  Another year older and perhaps a year closer to figuring it out.  This event is far from over though, I can see someone shooting as low as 60 here, so you gotta keep scoring.  Even worse, your putter can go cold for 6 holes, so u don't score and that will knock you out of the running lol

What happened between the two of them?

Even though Lucy had qualified for the U.S. Women's Open at age 11, Stacy said that she wasn't a big fan of it, and wouldn't have allowed her daughter to attempt to qualify.
