Congrats to Nanna, hope this win let's her relax a little more out there.

Great play again from Xiyu, she's been on my radar for awhile now.

Yuka breaking the course record with a 62. 

Lucy Li's play should have KBong all riled up lol.

 

@Argonne69 Kupcho held it together pretty well and almost chased down Brooke. Looks like she fooled us both lol.

 

You heard it here first, Sarah Schmelzel is playing some decent golf, looks like she wants a spot on the Solheim Cup.

Congrats to Nanna. She's had a few letdowns in the final round while in contention, and almost gave this one away, but she pulled it out.

 

Gotta feel for Xiyu, though. Heck of a closing stretch.

Why am I not surprised to see Amy near the top. Jeen loves the course, but Amy really loves the course.

Not sure if Lucy has the firepower to contend regularly, but she was impressive this week. It's good to see a sponsor's invite do more than simply fill up a spot.

 

The 11 players who finished T8 or better played 44 rounds with only two rounds of 70. Crazy good golf, or a pussycat setup? It's one thing for a player or two to run away from the field with a breathtaking week, but when the entire field is throwing darts it leaves me wanting.

Pussycat setup, you said perfectly, it's one thing to have a few players playing lights out golf, but when the whole field basically does it...slim chance everyone is peaking the same week.

 

When you have 11 players shoot -20 or better, I often wonder how the players who shoot -10 feel? Knowing the course is playing easy do you question your skill level, or do you brush it off as an off week?

 

I can't imagine how Ashleigh Buhai is feeling knowing you got smoked by 30 shots and shot over par on a pitch n putt.

 

I was really surprised to see Ingee so far down the leaderboard.

I’m not overly impressed with this event from a pure golf perspective. I acknowledge the fine drama though but I want real golf and this isn't it.

 

Just a birdie-fest, too easy and no premium on shot-making.

 

These golfers are crying out for better tests – they’re good enough, they deserve it, give it to them, find a way Mollie, you’re in the chair, if you can do that you will leave Mike W in your rear-view mirror.

 

Get the best women golfers playing real tests including more of the great courses that provides them with a complete test of golf, then we will be in for a treat.

I do hate how sensitive some people are and how they can run to the moderators.  The old usenet days were great that way.  There was no moderation.  You learned to ignore what you didn't like.

One would hope they'd shrug it off. A cool putter, or a handful of poor approaches and you're toast. 

 

In Gee had one bad round with two doubles. Otherwise she was solid, but not spectacular. She capable of doing low, but not really for four days. She's more suited for the tougher courses, which is is why she shined at Sentosa.

Also will someone please tell Kate Burton to stop with the "Denmark, France, Germany are all at the top of the leaderboard."  This isn't the olympics.  I get it makes for a bit of a conversation piece, but this is an individual sport, a player's nationality is at best an aside in the context of most golf tournaments.  It's almost as though the players are just interchangeable robots when things are referred to in that manner.

Well, take your pick I guess in terms of "fairness" for this week --- the Players with the conditions (eg luck of the draw definitely skewing the group that is favored) versus this course that is "pu$$ycat" as mentioned...

 

I actually spent more time watching this, despite the sked, relative to the Players and will most likely end up not bothering with the Players -- yes, I understand luck of the draw but it is what it is - happens in the LPGA too with 54 hole events etc...  NCAA and other events on TV help with the Sunday weekend - plus we have one less hour to waste couch potato-ing 🤣

As for Kbong, hope he's okay, but I, too, spent time in the penalty box a couple weeks ago. Good luck to Angel Yin who is tapped to replace Lydia next week on the LET.

I was one of those who didn't like how KBong would put down players.

 

They are out there doing their best and they get "witty put downs" here for doing nothing. It gets tiring. Most of the put downs were on just regular players. Would he be able say those things to the players face to face?

 

I expressed my opinion about this before and got a potshot in my direction. 

 

And no, I wasn't the one that reported him.

 

I'm just here to be a fan of the LPGA, not bring negativity to it.

 

I'll just wait for the next potshot.
