Thanks everyone.  Just received mine on Friday but haven't had a chance to hit it yet.  I'll be sure to get a few pictures and report back on it as soon as I take it out for a try.  I went with the matte black and gold with UST Helium shaft.  I seem to get along well with the UST shafts and wanted to give that set up a try.  Plan B will be to swap in the V2 that is in my current Cobra F9.  It's been the most consistent shaft I have ever played but I wanted to give something a try that is even lighter and high launch.  Excited to hit it soon.

Got mine delivered over the weekend. Got the LS in peacoat/red with a Ventus Black 6x. I haven't had a chance to hit it yet but can already tell it sets up great behind the ball and I'm excited to see how the Ventus feels and how the head stacks up against my current gamer TSi3 in terms of spin and ball speed!

I also received mine over the weekend. I went with the LTDx Max at 9 degrees with a Ventus blue 6S. You heard that right, Cobra allowed me to choose a premium shaft option. It's rainy, cold, and wet here in the Chicagoland area, and I have yet to get it out to the range. It looks to remain cold and wet in the next few days, but I'm excited to try it out. I'll report back soon.

I purchased a LTDx 9* turned to +1D w/ Ventus 5S TR, playing 44.75".  Also swapped in a 14g weight into the head.   I gamed it one round...Felt great...but I fight a terrible slice, I push everything right.  On way home went to GolfGalaxy and PGA, hit the max.  It seems like I might be better for the Max and traded it in at GolfGalaxy.  Essentially I just swapped heads, kept my shaft and weight.  Love set up of LS, but need the Max.  I am nervous about increase spin rates.  I am a 17* handicapper and love to tinker.  The peacoat is beautiful looking and hope that I dial into this and made the right decision.

Ok, so last weekend, I got in a round in with the new LTDx with the UST Helium shaft in it and we just did not get along.  Seemed like the shaft might have been a little too soft for me.  My swing has a pretty smooth/moderate tempo and transition and I just couldn't get the feel for it.  Hit a lot of shots that just looked like a "power push" into the right rough.  I also felt like I hit the ball a little higher than my F9.  Not sure if the spin was just higher or if it was my swing.  I didn't hit it horrible but I just wasn't as happy with it as my F9. 

 

So Sunday, I took the driver to the range and had a long range session with both drivers to compare and get my swing to where it felt fairly normal.  Ended up putting the ProForce V2 HL shaft that was in my Cobra F9 into the LTDx and immediately started hitting it real well.  That shaft and I just really seem to get along.

 

I have to say, that I have the 10.5 head in both my F9 and the LTDx and the LTDx looks more closed faced to me in the standard position.  So I experimented with dialing the loft down to 9 and 9.5 because in that position the driver looks much more square if not just a hair open.  At 9 degrees I felt like the launch wasn't as high as I like.... bumped it to 9.5 and immediately started hitting (for me) bombs.  With the V2 shaft, the driver plays 46" and I was finding the center of the clubface consistently and really hit the ball extremely well.  Better and more consistent than I seemed to be with the F9.  I have 2, 2-day tournaments the next 2 weekends and I'm anxious to see if the results are much better than that initial round.  Let's hope!

Been a busy month so it's taken me until now to get a serious range session in.  What I requested (LTDx LS, 9*, Ventus Black 6x) was based on the characteristics of my current driver (TSi3 9*, HZRDUS Smoke Green 6.5TX) For reference, I have SS 113-115 with a quick transition, ball speed around 170, launching at about 13* and 2100 rpm. On first glance I thought the smoke green would have been too stout but it's worked great so far. 

 

Pros: Appearance and sound are great. The LTD sets up nice and square, gloss blue carbon fiber crown looks great though a little flashier than what I typically prefer. Impact sound is higher pitched than the TSi3 but still very solid. After first few swings, launch looked similar to what I'm used to or maybe a hair lower, and the Ventus as expected feels very smooth for such a stout shaft while still being stable - - Found it very easy to find the center of the club face even when swinging hard. 

 

Cons: Found dispersion to be an issue with the Cobra. Thought it might be that it was killing spin a little *too* much so I adjusted loft to 10* and that improved results, but still not as good as my TSi3. Granted, big caveat is I was hitting damp range balls. Results might be different with a real ball so I'll try to get in an LM or on the course soon to test.
