Lol. I hadn’t seen the red stripe yet.  But my moment usually happens if I click on and I’m signed out.  I’m like great.  Somebody must have reported another history lesson.  Maybe I insulted a Canadian or worse yet a Michigander  ?  Or the more likely , just posted too many times.  This seems to be a melting point topic.

Me? I feel great, thank you. How I feel about Mr. Daly? Exactly the way I wrote it down there. He leads the life of a 16 year old who is left alone by his parents for the first time, being told he should eat and drink properly. He binges on Coke light, junk food, Marlboros and M&Ms every day. But the man is 55 years old now, he does that for 40 plus years. He earned his exemption into the PGA because he won it 31 years ago. But his behaviour ist just ridiculous and selfish. I think he absolutely does. Whenever the Champions show comes near me, I go. I've followed John twice since he hit 50. One time in Florida, and once near me on the North Shore, and he towed a crew along that far outpaced anyone else on the grounds. From the range all the way through his round.

 

He may have his demons, but his swing is one of golf's more interesting natural creations. Plus the fast and nonchalant manner in which he goes about his business kind of harkens back to a Sam Snead or Walter Hagen. There's something very entertaining about watching a guy pull off a shot (a shot that would take a Kevin Na 3 minutes of thinking and practice swinging), by simply taking a pull on his heater, grabbing the club, and just stepping up and hitting it.

 

I also followed him quite often in his various stages of relevance on the PGA Tour. The crowd-draw was much the same. He puts on a similar show to a Phil Mickelson on the course, but the difference is, his problems and his true condition as an in-perfect person are on full display. He doesn't make any excuses for who he is, and people relate to that. He has a loyal fan base, and I count myself as a member of it.

Funny we have all created these images in our heads of who WRXers are IRL and what they look like. Very few (you are included) have “come clean” and pulled back the curtain… The others are most likely just catfishing us and would be a huge disappointment! #nevermeetyourheroes 😜

I don't know about all the others but I am fit, lean and handsome.  😃  And I have a great smile.

 

On another note, it would be superb if everyone would provide their general geographic area.  So few on here do.  To a very limited degree it gives you a sense of the person.  A sense of the place they occupy in this world.  A sense of the golf courses near them.  A sense of whether they play golf in the Winter or shovel snow off their sidewalks...
