Certainly not an engineer, but is it possible that the face has a very thin top layer that can flex more but be supported with the honeycomb pattern that adds strength with another thin layer on the back side that reduces the weight in the face? Whatever it is, g430 can’t get here fast enough!

That Trilogy TEE hybrid is an all time great!  That sole goes through anything, not sure why they don’t bring it back.

Anyone hear a release date for the G430 irons yet?  I believe they came out Jan 2021 which if Ping held to its 18 month cadence would put it around Aug 2022

Agree, i have tried every 5h out there since the Xrail/Trilogy came out and nothing has been able to knock it out.  so versatile from every lie.

When David Glod was on a podcast last year, I asked him if they planned to come out with another version and he said nope; he said that line kinda morphed into the Hot Launch C5xx/Exx1 line.

Typically the entire 430 line, woods/hy-birds/irons would be out for Jan 23 Orlando, but anymore it's not even worth guessing.

I don’t keep a formal one but usually at the end of the year I always end up around an 82 avg. I play from the whites. Usually around 5800-6100 yds.  Shot my personal best rd last year at -2. When the GIR % is up and short game cooperates can get into the 70’s. Short knocker. Shot scope has me at a driving avg at 225 with a 236 performance avg. 7i is 140-145

Improving the tin can falling down concrete stairs would be a start. The sound is offensive to many people and has stopped them purchasing.

IMO G425 Max has been more like a frying pan hitting a baseball, but weirdly enough, few random people in my playing group has commented that listening from the side or behind the Max it actually sounds good.. For me hitting the driver it sounds horrible. 😄

 

What comes to the G430 I hope they manage to keep the MOI, improve the bias to be more neutral in the MAX version (like it was in G400 Max) and improve the already mentioned sound. In my opinion the Max head shouldn't need the adjustable weight, it somewhat compromises the forgiveness.

Wouldn’t surprise me if the G430 line of woods and irons was held over till 2024. I think the whole golf industry has struggled to fulfil orders.
