103-105 SS average.  I generally play stiff shafts.  Though, I found both the Ventus Red/Blue 6S and 7S a little loose for my quick aggressive transition.   Whiteboard profiles work really well for my swing.  1K has been great shaft for me.  Only hangup is I have a tendency to over cook it sometimes.  But, its very manageable.

1K black sounds right up my alley.

Wondering if this will be the stock for the new TSR drivers? It isn't classified as the PRO model and usually the made for OEM ones like the AV Blue in taylormade were the opposite half values, like 65 instead of 60. Hopefully we can get some more info on this

Gotta be for the TSR. They have always had some sort of MCA stock offering. Wondering if this is the big push the 1K needs. I sure hope so!

Picked up the TPO 1K 60TK and have never had a better day driving the ball. Thanks @phizzy30 and @Valtiel
 

I have the White 1K for fairways 70TX / 80TX and they feel incredible but a touch low. Like the true wrx’r I put them up for sell in hopes that the Blue would be here soon.

From the hints being thrown around, it sounds like the TPB 1K is coming, but it won't be until next year.  I'm going to take the plunge and get that Kai'li Blue first and see how it goes.  I will probably end up putting the TPB 1K in the bag anyway since I love the way my TPO 1K feels in driver.

I was thinking the same thing but if the TB1K is a stock offering in the TSR fairways then I will upgrade and skip the Kai’li Blue and wait for the TPBlue.

I think you misunderstood my post.  I meant TPBlue 1K, not the black.

1K Black is a new TENSEI profile we'll roll out a few months down the line. Heavier/stouter than 1K Pro White with a slightly different material composition than the Pro model. You'll see additional advanced materials like boron used in the 1K Pro White model. 

 

Attached is the marketing sheet for 1K Black that lays out all the tech and features. 1K Black should be available for everyone to check out in the fall.

I feel the PD is the stout master in the whiteboard category. Straight up rebar IMO and that’s just the 60x not even tx. LOVE the 1K pro white 60TX tipped an inch.

God, the PD is a shaft for the manliest of men, lol.  The 70TX was a telephone phone with no kick but it did have a little bit of feel to it due to all the exotic materials.  Couldn't turn it over unless I went after it 90%+.

Really think at least for me it’s all in the handle. If it’s a stiffer handle could be a marshmallow tip and feels like rebar. Contrarily stiffest tip and shaft but soft handle (tensei pro white, modus 120x etc) feel awesome to me.  PD handle it pretty stuff for a whiteboard

I ask because I've been swinging these for a long time and I'm looking to get with modern times when the TSR's come out later this year and I'm looking for recommendations for shafts that perform similarly.

Correct!  The Tiger shaft.  Diamana D+, Tensei Pro White etc.  Overall stiff tip shaft but soft handle.  Stable with some feel.  There are more than a few threads about the whiteboard that are fun to get in to.  Not entirely sure on the history of the name “whiteboard or blue board”

Great.  Sounds like maybe the term started as a specific model name, but kind of like a 'PostIt' or 'Kleenex', it morphed over time to describe a popular but more generalized shaft profile that can apply to a number of different shaft models.

 

All I know is I love mine (have them in all three woods) and frankly, I've been playing them so long that I'm afraid to switch to something else.  Thanks for the tips on alternate models!  I'll look for those threads too.

Exactly and well said.  I love mine.  Even though I try other shafts in true wrx nerdness, none are more suited to my swing than a whiteboard.  Do not get along with blueboards 🤷🏻‍♂️

The sticker is white and the blueboard sticker was blue. Whiteboard has stiff tip soft handle while blueboard was reversed, stiff handle soft tip. Since then it has been used to simplify shaft descriptions based on those originals. I loved the original whiteboard still have one and hated blueboards. It’s kinda cool how different strokes for different folks

It's a colloquial term based on the fact that Mitsubishi uses lots of Hawaiian themes/aesthetics on the Diamana models and the Diamana logo on the original D-series (White), S-Series (Blue), and M-Series (Red) are shaped like surfboards. Most subsequent "Whiteboard" designs will either feature "White" in the name e.g. Tensei Pro White or use "D" somewhere e.g. Diamana D+.

Brace yourselves, it's a pretty wild answer...

 

In the white profile, the Diamana logo is literally on a white surfboard. And in the blue profile, that's right, it's on a blue surfboard. The story I've heard is the original designer of Diamana loved to surf, and this manifested itself as a surfboard on the shaft.

 

At this point in time, not every Diamana shaft continues to use a surfboard (some still do) but the terms "whiteboard" and "blueboard" have sort of entered the golf lexicon and we'll often use those terms loosely to refer to shaft profiles across all our families, not just Diamana. Whiteboard being low-low and blueboard being mid-mid, with the occasional reference to a redboard at high-mid.

Funny how everyone feels things differently. Im not the fastest swinger in the world at 112 but I hated the Kai'li. Thought it was actually pretty loose

 

The PD I was fit in to a 70x by Club Champion and it worked really well for a while but ultimately I thought the 70g was too much. I found it to be pretty darn smooth even at 70g. Ive been looking for a 60x
