Did they build a stand alone facility for this? Or did they build out an existing structure for it? That’s screen is huge and puts my little 10’ x 8’ in my garage to shame!

From reading about it this reads like people sitting around a conference and discussed how can be lower golf even more.  I can't see it lasting than a few episodes the ratings will be good on the first one then it will decrease by each episode.

espn is in for 15 and i dont think theyve ever canceled anything early

I don't know how this team thing is going to work out, but here' what we do know:

 

*ESPN has the best televising equipment for sports.

*Tiger's not paying to be on ESPN

*Guarantee that NIKE will supply the uniforms (if required).🙂

That would be hard to negotiate w/ so many players already having apparel deals. Morikawa will have to tape over the Nike check, like Jordan had to hide the Team USA Reebok logo.

I like Morikawa but I won't be watching team golf inside a stadium.

 

I set up a simulator at home, invited my friends over and hit the balls around. We all agreed that it is better just go play a around of golf on a real course.

Maybe. This might be in addition to their current deals.

Everyone knows real golf is better than simulator golf but simulator golf can still be good when you’re working on something, the weather is too bad in the winter for example, if you are under time restraints.

 

The point is it’s not either/or, they both have a place in golf and that’s the point of this league, it’s just a small sideshow during the week before PGA Tour events. Like how golf is better than simulator golf, real PGA Tour events are still going to be better than this, but doesn’t mean it can’t be fun.

Aren't all the matches in Florida too? Suits Florida residents but Rahm lives in Arizona, maybe the wife was like 'no way!' Similar to Jordan Spieth living in Texas.

 

Suits Tiger, Rory, JT and all those Bears Club hangers around Palm Beach.

Yeah I think that is the crux of it - having to fly over on a Monday just to do this, then either fly home or onwards to the tour event that week. With young kids he probably realised the logistics aren't worth it
