Seller Will not Issue Refund

Buyers beware here when dealing with @Stinger83 . Paid $250 for 410 driver two newly weeks ago. Seller would not respond. Opened PayPal issue. He finally responded and after 48 hours of asking if I wanted a refund and telling me he’s not scamming anyone, still has yet to issue refund. I’ve done over 200 deals on WRX since 2011. Never dealt with anything like this before.

The gf didn't ship story. If seller didn't get it shipped why not just send a pm saying that.

My PayPal shows a negative 242 dollar balance. If the refund hasn’t processed why do i have a negative balance

No. Again. You can’t make things up. It doesn’t work like that.  You still have not issued refund. The PayPal dispute is still open. You never stated you were leaving and not shipping.  And PayPal doesn’t allow you to have a negative balance. This was clearly a scam gone wrong.

Paypal might have withheld the fund with pending investigation. 

You said you had to get it back from FedEx, post your tracking number and prove it.

I supposed there could be crazy situations come up but i can't even imagine selling something here and then leaving town for a week without shipping.....I don't think i could even function with that hanging over my head.

same, I'll literally hold off on posting something if there's even a chance I can't ship within 48hrs. people who can take your money while they have your stuff for more than a week aren't the people I want to do business with.

Look, we all understand life happens. It could very well be that the sale took place right before you are about to leave on a trip. I would have let the buyer know that I will try my best to get it out before. If I didn't make it happen, I would have let the buyer know immediately, and give buyer the choice of refund or wait till I am back with a date given. The gf\wife didn't ship story had been used too many times.. LOL

You said on Sept 24th that you would ship and send tracking on Sept. 26th (Monday).

 

And you didn't do it. 

 

Then you didn't communicate at all about the problem. That's shady.

"Going out of town" is not an excuse...

 

if you can't ship, then don't sell!

Im not understanding the timeline here. So you guys agreed on the 23rd and you sent money but he was not able to ship the next day. So he said he would ship on monday the 26th which he did not. Am I correct at this point? And then are out of town for a week with no communication. At this point, the seller is not looking good. A refund should have been issued or you should have communicated with the buyer as quickly as you could.

Unless there is a PM that is missing "i'll ship it before my flight" gives no indication of timeframe. You never told him you were going to Chicago and you never said it was for a week, so to pretend the guy is acting irrational based on information you did not give him all while you didn't even do what you said you were going to puts you firmly in the wrong with no room to be acting like you're the victim here.

That is right. Wouldn’t respond to DMs until I filed dispute with PayPal. Then blamed GF and still has not issued refund or proved he even attempted to ship, or “ had to get a Club off the truck.“

The travel thing is a lame excuse.  I once sold a driver shaft on eBay and couldn't get it shipped before a work trip the next day.   I took the shaft with me (to Chicago lol) and shipped it from a post office in Naperville.

This isn't even complicated, once you get the money, you ship, end of story.  If you have other stuff going on, don't sell things.  Seller sucks in this situation.

Did you post in your original ad that you were leaning? If not then there’s no excuse, and if you knew you were leaving for a week, why post an ad knowing you wouldn’t be able to ship?
