Bettinardi HLX 5.0

Recommended Posts

I have been a big fan of the Bettinardi wedges. Can’t wait to see the new HLX 5.0 that are due out soon.

The HLX 3.0s were a solid, under-the-radar series. Just 2 grinds, but great looks, feel, and spin. I’m hoping this iteration adds a 3rd grind option.

The 3.0 of these are my current gamers.  Love them.  Great feel, awesome spin.

Man, wedges are getting expensive. Has Betti always priced wedges like this?

The 3.0 was 190 a wedge i believe. Always been a touch higher than competitors. Cant vouch for this one but the 3.0 was super durable and I wouldnt mind paying a dew extra bucks. 220 is starting to push it though.

the 3.0’s are $260 up in Canada, I’d guess the 5’s are $300… Might just stick with the Mizunos

With a little patience, you’ll be able to pick up a lightly used one for the same price as a used SM9. That’s what I did for the 3.0 and will probably do for these.

I came across some really beat up betti wedges at a Golf Galaxy..  can't remember what model they were but by beat up I mean the chrome was coming off in sheets. I honestly didn't even know that was possible but it could have been a case of extreme neglect.. My H2's are still hold up pretty well

Price wise, I don't think its fair to compared to mass market brands like Cleveland\Vokey\Callaway/ but they sure start to make price of PXG's Sugar Daddy seem less outrageous. 🤣

Price in the UK has gone from £169 to £229 a 35% increase.

considering they only last 2 years max if you want full performance its a bit ridiculous.

Not thrilled with the price of these, but can get over it.  I'm more turned away by the lack of shaft options.

I play the 3.0 and absolutely love them.  Don't see any reason to update based on what I am seeing.

Im also playing the 3.0s what's not to love, they hit every mark with that buttery feel. Thinking about getting the 48 and bending it 2 degrees weaker to replace the PW. If I recall correctly the 48 was not part of the 3.0 lineup.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
