adidas Golf 2023

Seems like multiple people are liking the ZG23. Has anyone compared the lace to the BOA version? More comfy than codechaos?

I tried the basketball version and it was REALLY difficult to get on and off.  They are also really tight on the foot and ankles.  The basketball version flopped even with Trey Young wearing them.  I'm surprised they would make a golf version years later.  Especially since they are high tops.

I recently picked up a pair of the FJ Hyperflex Carbon and 100% agree. And they get better with each round.

How would you compare the cushioning in the two? Is one softer than the other?

 

Also, what socks are you wearing with the FJ's? I've never owned a shoe with a sockliner like that around the ankle, looks like it would feel tight and I couldn't tell if they're made for socks to be taller or shorter than the liner thing.

they seemed to fit really well.  They don’t look like a “boost” shoe but may give them a go.  

I picked up a pair of zg21 on clearance couple months ago and absolutely love them. Way comfier than the FJ SL pros I was using before. Plus they clean up really well. I’m looking for another pair that is similar to these, might just grab the 23 version

Stan Smiths are back.  Looks basically the same as years past.

 

Sambas are fairly popular right now for casual wear.  The soles are spikeless, but raised like the Stan Smiths.  One thing that I hate about Sambas is the tall tongue.

 

Superstar (aka shell toes).  Interesting to see they made these with spikes.  I might consider these if the right colorway comes out.

 

Why they do it I don't know, but the tall tongue on the Sambas is meant to be cut.

Just ordered a pair of Sambas. Really wish they'd bring the black with white colorway back but these will work.

Just walked 12 holes in the ZG23 Vent. Conditions were dry, so I cannot attest to their water resistance. I own a pair of the ZG21s and I love them. (other than right heal wearing out). I put a women’s heel cushion in, and it worked perfectly.
The ZG23 Vent’s are much more flimsy and my foot moves around more in them. They are very light and fit about the same as the 21’s with similar grip.  Cushioning not as good as the ZG21s, but not awful. I don’t feel the excellent springiness of the ZG21s. I also don’t like the fact that the tongue is not sewn in. Probably for weight savings.  Overall, I like the ZG 21s much better. These are not worth the $200 price tag in my opinion.

 Yeah I guess that’s what caught me my eye.
 

@GTMike thanks for the link. I was hoping they might have a model somewhere that would actually fit my thighs. I tried the Tour Nylon Tapered Fit and they were skin tight. I’m betting the OTR version of the Ultimate 365 Tapered is the same thing.

I just ordered a pair of Codechaos 22s. Adidas shoes have always fit my feet well. This will be my first golf shoes that are spikeless. I am hoping they will feel more like a running shoe.

They are phenomenal and do not feel like a "golf" shoe at all. If they weren't silly looking with their design a bit I'd say you could wear them as a daily and not know they are golf shoes.

I agree they are silly looking. I am not crazy about traction wave along the side of the shoe but I am one for fit and function.

I bought these shoes out of necessity because the airlines lost my bag and they were the only shoes in the pro shop in my size. I absolutely despise how they look but are without a doubt, the most comfortable shoe I have ever owned. They are hideous to look at though.

I can only hope so, particularly if they go back to replaceable spikes. 

 

I have to believe the current Tour 360 22's aren't selling well at all. They've been 40%+ off for quite some time now with many sellers (Amazon now has them for $100 in some colors/sizes) and my local big box golf stores are overflowing with stock of them. I've also seen very few people actually wearing them compared to other recent Adidas golf shoes.

Best golf shoe I ever owned. Just saying. I walk all my rounds and just can’t see using another shoe. Might be ugly, but my feet don’t care.

You're gonna have to come up with pics because all I see in my mind  is wrap up the side soles with the spike almost showing (adipure models) very ugly compared to the Tour 360's from 3-4 years ago.

Man on man holy smokes these things are insanely comfortable. I’ve been a long time Adidas Boost fan since I’m a runner. These Code Chaos 22 were exactly what I was looking for in a golf shoe. They feel like a running shoe with tread that keeps me from slipping.
