LAB Golf Link Putter Arrived Today.

Anyone purchase the Link.1 with Accra shaft from PGA Superstore website?  The picture shows a white Accra shaft, and site dot, but does not list a lie angle.  I asked customer service and they seemed a little flummoxed.  I am wondering if there is a site dot, and if the lie is 69.

I was thinking about it until the 20% coupon on LAB's website.  

 

As for putting with head up, this is really interesting and something I intend on trying (at least in practice).  For several weeks, I had gotten my distance down really well.  I was definitely scoring better as a result.  I found myself making putts that I normally had not because I was giving my self a chance as most of my putts would get to the hole and maybe a foot or two beyond.  Then just this past week, I've been struggling.  I can see how the heads up while putting could get me dialed in again.  I'm going to try tomorrow!

I saw a friends Mezz this morning that he said was a factory second buy.  He showed me the LAB logo was misprinted a bit off center so it was pressed and ink filled in the correct spot.

I don't putt heads-up, but to me the "logical" examples you present are pretty flawed comparisons. Golf has a near and far target and the near target is not in control as you say, but golf balls aren't flying towards golfers at 80-100 mph like a baseball, and the dynamics of putting and a 100 pitch are not even remotely comparable. I did a remote fitting a couple weeks ago. My specs are 34 length and 67 lie. Now I need to decide on a Mezz Max or DF. I checked the Lab Outlet and nothing for sale for my specs. Any suggestions out there between the 2? Thanks

It's likely the DF3 will launch in January or February, which may be the holy grail of Mezz/DF2.1 combined.

What ball position have you all had the most success with with the link?

Everyone will be different depending on your setup. I have been using a Link since it came out and this is what I have figured out…..  The best way to determine your ideal ball position is to use the thumbs off drill so you don’t manipulate the putter. This way the face comes back to square at setup.  Just hit some short putts, 3 to 5 feet with the thumbs off.  Provided you are aimed correctly,  assuming you putt right handed, a left miss means the ball is too far forward and a right miss means the ball is too far back. For me if I get off a little bit this dials me right back in.  I like to use the thumbs off drill often to help get the feeling of letting the putter do the work and not try to manipulate the stroke.

I made my order last week. Wanted to treat myself after selling my old apartment. I’ve bought the custom Link.1 after a remote fitting. I’ve gone for the TPT shaft and Quad grip. Am I stupid? I currently play the mezz.1 with the wrong lie angle (71* when I’m 68*).

 

I love the Mezz even though the current angle isn’t natural for me. I’m Swedish so the putter will ship to Sweden adding tax fees about 27,5% in Swedish VAT and toll 😂

 

Im fairly confident that I will use this putter for a very long time and after reading y’all’s comments I feel pretty content about spending that amount of money!

1. the cord grip is sweet

2. I think there’s still some forward press/shaft angle built in. Or maybe it’s just the onset that takes getting used to. I don’t like flange alignment aids much but it almost feels necessary here bc gripping it and setting it down made it look really off. 
3. it’s ugly. But that’s ok. No one seems to want to say this. 
4. Enjoying the center shaft and balance and alignment once I got used to the onset visually. It’s definitely easier for me to get used to than my demos of the mezz and DF.

Will post some. I only did a cursory look and didn’t find any damage or annhthjng obvious.

Anyone hear if the Link will be offered in colors? I know the Black and White are available in limited runs, but only the back flange sight line is available. Wondering if they will offer the full customization with color options in the near term.

I believe it is milled into the putter.  I might be wrong but I think if you try to remove the paint, you will still see the indentation of the line into the flange.

yes, thank you.  I have confirmed with LAB that it is laser etched.  I think if I tried to remove with acetone or something else it would probably leave some shadowing.  Not quite sure though as not very familiar with laser etching process.

Thanks for sharing.  Only bummer is the screws are not color matched.

Still gaming it? I personally agree about lines on the flange. I use a dot on the top line as I find the face really easy to aim.
