The Ping Anser putter is probably the most copied putter design, it amazes me that Ping themselves over the years have so may different designed models of the original Scottsdales and Dale Heads. I just have a few of ... ? Several materials such used as well. Some of the original prototypes I understand garage Redwoods, manganese bronze, beryllium copper, beryllium nickel, carbon steel, multi material SNR's, stainless steel and 303 stainless steel.

This one's a keeper.  Best putter I've ever had.  I've sold most of my other ones - just keeping the Byron 006 and DH89, and the Lajosi Bayzie HSM.

Yeah these PLDs seems like keepers for like 95% of buyers. 

 

The others don't sell especially the Byron's.

Not address but topline. I’ll try to remember to snap an address pic soon. It’s just the stock finish that I removed the paint from and gave a very light hand polish with steel wool before redoing paint.

I used to have a bad case of the stubbies and decided I’d buff this guy so wouldn’t be so bad. Then I figured out a fella 5’9” doesn’t need a 35” putter.

Currently only have 3 Anser's - two nickel and one copper.  Over the years have had many various models (stainless, bronze, with insert faces, and one two-piece model where the hosel was blue titanium epoxied into the stainless head.

I would say about $120.00 to $135.00. Unless it has an A stamp in the cavity which would be the first reprint which had slightly more Nickel material than the C stamped model. A stamps usually run about $25.00 to $50.00 more for those collector types who know the difference.

Then again, the sight line does not help the value. 

Anser black shaft label and Ping Tour Wrap Spiral grip should be the original set up and it should play at about 35".

I believe the nickel content thing is a myth - see this old post when someone on here actually asked Ping's official historian...

- it's just to distonguish between the A-mold and the C-mold castings, and there is no appreciable difference between the two.

My WTi with a milled face and torched finish.  Right at 340g.  Been rolling it for years and nothing has come close to kicking it out of the bag.  A putter ahead of its time.

I also picked up and anser 2x. Really like the finger lock grip too.
