Most Forgiving Driver in the Past 5 Years?

What do you think the most forgiving driver is?  That's the topic.

The one you hit most consistently in the middle of the face.

Honestly these "most" threads are a bit pointless. Per usual you'll get 4 to 5 pages listing all the usual suspects and no one will be wrong or right.

If such a driver existed, then all the guys on tour would be playing the same driver. Instead you see guys stripping it down the middle with Titleist, Callaway, Ping, TM, Mizuno, whatever Bryson is smashing these days, Tour Edge all over the senior tour, etc etc.

Why do you post in them if you are already upset at the title?

Upset? No one seems to be upset about anything. We were just having an adult conversation about the merits of lessons vs fittings.

What are you the topic police?

Lighten up Francis.

What's the topic again?  Does it mention lessons or fittings?

You chose to come into the thread and educate everyone on the merits of lessons.  Why?

The OP asked about driver forgiveness.  I can relate with the OP.  I had a Titleist 917 D3 that was impossible to keep in the fairway.  I changed to a Tour Edge Exotics C721 and it was so easy to hit the fairway, nothing else changed.  I'm of the opinion that equipment makes a difference for some of us.

I totally agree with your statement because I too found out using the TEE C721. My fairways hit went from 7 out of 14 to 12 out of 14 without changing anything in my swing. I am not one to hit the center of the club face every time but I get similar results every time using the C721 no matter where I make contact on the club face. Most of the time my drives are straight down the middle. Later in my rounds my back sometimes stiffens up and I might leave a drive out to the right. It is amazing how this driver has changed my driving game.

Some of us weren't born with a natural ability at golf.  Forgiving equipment helps us to enjoy the game more.  That's why they advertise forgiveness right?

I've had many lessons and have accepted the fact that I'm only going to go so far in golf.  I'm not gifted but I still enjoy it.

Guess you need to work on your reading comprehension.

I came into the thread and gave an opinion on Mizuno driver and also agree with Tour Edge being overrated. The conservation went to someone asking the merits of lessons vs fittings and I gave my opinion.

I'm still at a lose why you're so bent out of shape about folks having a conservation that's a bit off topic.

Seems like something that was said struck a nerve with you. I wasn't trying to educate anyone...just giving my opinion, which last I checked was what this place is for.

Glad you found a driver that works for you and changed your game.

Relax dude..golf is supposed to be fun.

I love PING. I’ve played PING irons on and off throughout my golf life. I have never had a good feeling with a PING driver in my hands. I guess it’s the heavier head. I truly wish I could get along with their drivers and experience the insane MOI that they offer.

You can.... they are completely adjustable. Figure out the weights, shaft and length for you. They are money.

Hated PING drivers. Every year I'd try the new releases, and every year I'd say how much I don't like them. Then I hit the 10K. You'd have to kill me to get that thing out of my hands.

G425 MAX, G430 MAX, G430 MAX 10k

IMO it doesn't get better than any of these 3 if you're looking for forgiveness.  I recommended these drivers to some folks who ended up switching from other brands and their fairways hit went up dramatically.   They're not the longest but if one needs to hit more fairways or have less dramatic misses than these are the go to.
