I’ve got a fitting scheduled tomorrow for the 425 / 430. I just came back to the game and ima have to quit soon if I keep losing balls lol. Looking to upgrading from the Rbz stage 2 tour. I’m expecting a bit difference.

You definitely will. I owned the RBZ Stage 2 non tour and it's gonna feel like cheating with the MAX either 425 or 430 lol

I agree with everybody that has suggested Ping Max series drivers, but...don't sleep on the Mizuno ST-Z, or ST-X series. I find them to be a very forgiving driver.

The new Mizunos are quite good. The 230 ST-X is as forgiving and fast as any driver I tried so I ordered one. It has Ping-like forgiveness and I got slightly higher average ball speeds.

Callaway Paradym Triple Diamond 10.5 w/Diamana TB 60S

PXG GEN6 5 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Yamaha RMX VD 7 wood w/Diamana S-plus 70 stiff

Callaway Mavrik Pro hybrid (22) w/Aldila Tour Blue 85 stiff hybrid

Wilson Staff Model CB 5-G w/DG s300 shafts

Edel T grind 54 w/Nippon 125 wedge shaft

Fourteen RM-12 58 w/Dynamic Golds400

Ping has the brand recognition for forgiveness but I remember seeing some Mizuno drivers actually had a higher moi measurement than the Ping. That being said, a lot of good heads out there. The 4 that came to mind when I saw the title were

Ping

Mizuno

Cleveland

Tour edge exotics E series.

Honestly you could probably pick whatever max version of any manufacturer and get good forgiveness.

D-Taylormade SIM MAX D Diamana PD 50r

3w- Honma TW-XP1

17° Adams XTD Ti super hybrid

4h-5h- Tour Edge Exotics ex9

6-AW- Cleveland Launcher XL Nippon Zelos 7

56°- Cleveland CBX Zipcore

60°- Lazrus

P- Odyssey eleven tour lined stroke lab shaft

I actually ended up getting 430 with the Alida rouge white S. ( they included it for free) I feel like I didn’t hit the ball that great but I was getting pretty good numbers. Also bumped me down to the 9 degree head. I also hit the XS tour chrome 2.0 pretty good, but it felt just a bit too boardy. Pretty much all of my mishits stayed around 280ish and were only like 30 yards off line. While the good ones went about 295 or so. Looking forward to playing with jt.

I recall the same thing for the STZ220 I believe?  Many called it a better looking\sounding Ping.  (Both objective of course).

I'm looking to upgrade from my ST180 this year and it seems like there's a lot of good options for 2023.

Don't sleep on the ST190...huge leap from the 180 to 190 in terms of forgiveness, sound and feel.

I've tried all the latest offerings and the ST190 w AD DI shaft just can't be beat for overall performance, looks and feel.

As a Ping fanboy, I'd say they make among the most forgiving out there. Haven't tried the G430 Max, but the G400 max was/is the standard bearer in my opinion. With that being said, I currently have a Cobra Ltdx and it is every bit as forgivng and long. For the price that you can land a Ltdx, it's the best best value right now in my opinion.

Only issue I have with ping and titleist drivers is while it’s forgiving the all black driver heads seem be tough to hit center each time and I found myself missing more.

For that reason it was unforgiving to me…

Im the opposite i find it easy to find center on them lol

Agree 100%.  I tested the G430, MAX and LST.  They are all forgiving to a certain degree, but the MAX was the most forgiving in terms of dispersion.  Has to be the super high MOI.  Not the longest/fastest but consistent ball speed retention across the face.

Agreed, you will not be disappointed

May not be the most popular opinion, but for me, the Cleveland HB Turbo has never let me down and will be in the bag until something else beats its' performance, looks and price combo.

Here's a write up of it if your curious: https://pluggedingolf.com/cleveland-launcher-hb-turbo-driver-review/

I have had the Cleveland HB Turbo for over a year and am looking to replace it -I am tired of dealing with  2 major issues - first is that the hosel is not adjustable; I would like to be able to adjust loft and lie.  The second reason is the stock shaft tip is to too soft  causing exaggerated ball height.  Non adjustable hosel makes swapping shafts mor difficult

Any of the max series from ping is your best bet for forgiveness.

Ts 1 and tsi 1 would be in the conversation as well.

Most of the other manufacturers first priority is hp.

TSR1 deserves to be in the conversation.  it doesn't get much ink, but it is surprisingly good.

The Mizuno ST-G 220. With both weights in the center rear track, it is as forgiving of a driver as your gonna find. If you have a "tendency", as in you usually miss hit it on the toe or heel then you can have one weight set in the center rear track and put the other weight in the rear portion of the toe or heel track (or front portion if you want to reduce a little spin). This adds a bit more mass and stability to the side you have a tendency to miss on, which keeps the miss to a minimum.

I have mine set up with sleeve to plus 1* (playing 10* or so) with one weight in the rear portion of the rear center track and the other weight in the front portion of the toe side track. It's extremely forgiving on toe strikes (which is my miss) and very straight...actually a bit fade bias but that's what I want it to be.

Extremely happy with my G425 Max. The second closest I got was TSR 2 last time I tested out. I did not get a chance to test any Taylormade's as I tend to stay away from their drivers despite playing p790's (I've had a lot of problems with TM drivers in the past, just overall quality issues but they do have great customer service and will replace anything you got if something is broken!)

Tour Edge Exotics E722 is the most forgiving driver I've ever owned or hit.  The moi is listed at 5600, I'm sure the heavier back weight I used for swing weighting brought that number up a little.  Toe shots go straight without losing much distance.  It's the best driver than nobody has heard about.
