SIM2 Ti 3w = Witchcraft

The lunchtime browse around the used club shop was uneventful today until I took this into the test bay to see if I “needed” a new to me 3w (hint - I don’t). Oh. My. God. Whoever made these things used some kind of magic dust in the metal. This is easily the hottest 3w I’ve ever hit balls with. It also must be magic because somehow it followed me home. Witchcraft. 
This thing is a missile launcher.

If you like the fairway wood that much, treat it better than your wife (or significant other).  
 

The relationship is rare and priceless.

Solid advise. I’ll take it to heart. A trust worthy 3w is one of life’s rare treasures.

Been reading up on this and newer models.. agree my tm 200 15 and vsteel 20 may be heading for spare bag in next few years...i rarely buy unless 3 years old

The only reason I have a Stealth Plus 3 wood is because that’s what Taylormade sent me after I had to warranty the Sim 2 Ti for the 2nd time. 
 

The Stealth is great, but I preferred the Sim 2.

I have used the old M5 version of the titanium wood. Was not my favorite club, maybe I need to try a newer version, it is just the price, that keeps me off.

the OG SIM was better! Hot fairways for sure, but can be a little wild at times.

I still have my OG SIM ti in the bag.  So long and straight for me off the tee.  SIM 2 ti is good too.

TaylorMade makes some of the best fairway woods ever. I had the Titanium Sim 2 as I got along with it well but found many other brands out there just a nice but not quite as long as they are long. I did try their Mini 300 and BRNR which worked better off the Tee than the fairway but they were nice. Now my gamer is a JDM version of the TaylorMade Stealth Glorie 3W. Super easy to hit off the fairway as I don't even Tee it up when I can. It's not the longest but Wow its straight down the middle as that's all I can ask for

I just can't get behind the argument that a 3wd is hard to replace.  I mean, there has been SO MANY good ones released in the past 10 years.  Maybe if you hit the majority from the deck and need something specific a chunk might not work for you, but almost anything from the past even 15 years in the players category I could easily make work.

 

I don't care about Stenson and the DET, and lots don't change purely because the newer stuff might just go too far.  I mean jebus, Woodland was carrying a 4wd with an X100 in it 300+ at one point...

 

Shaft pairing means far more now, more so given OEM's just want to pump out light weight nonsense.  But at least N/C offerings have generally increased as well.

This just happened to me.  Stealth+ 3w on the way.  Bastards couldn't even splurge on a stealth 2+, but cest la vie.  Now I'm nervous.  what did you like more about the Sim2?  I loved the club, but it cracked.

I just got one to see if I can gain some distance from a TS2 16.5*. Club looks great and seems long, just can’t get on with the Tensei Blue shaft.

I recently purchased a OG Sim 3W Ti from the lefty swap shop and played with it for the first time yesterday. It's a rocket launcher as well.

That ts2 is going to seem like a PW compared to what you'll get from the sim2 ti.

I hit them both on a hole a few weeks back and the SIM2 TI was at least 20 yds farther. I’ve been playing Driver, 16.5, 20* hybrid for years and I’m starting to lose a little distance with age. I got a UW 19* last year to fill the gap between 20* hybrid and 4 wood. Problem I have now is the TS2 at 15.75 and the UW are literally with 5 yds, so hoping the SIM2 replaces the TS2.

The sim 2 max is just as hot. My 3 wood is 16.5 loft. And it launches high. But it outflies any 15 degree head I’ve ever hit.

Found a Sim TI Rocket 3 with a Velocore Red at a shop when I was on a golf trip last month , mint condition , played it that night at Royal New Kent and immediately picked up almost 30 yards over the Cobra LTX it replaced. It won't win any awards on feel or forgiveness and I struggle turning it over a little bit, wants to leak more than anything , but I'm mostly regretting not giving one of these a chance earlier.
