This does look so much better, and I'd go even further. Not sure why every serious golfer seems to want simpler, uncluttered designs...

and every OEM seems dead set on increasing needless badging, milling, and finishes.

These look fine..  The iblades are still my favorite looking Ping irons of all-time.  But I also liked the look of the original S59's  and the Isi's.

Heard something on some golf podcast that the OG blueprints were to hard to hit and not too forgiving and pros were giving up a lot. The feedback the staffers gave gave birth to the S.

Uh.....no!!! Ugliest monstrosities ive ever heard Ping call an iron. Use the 3 iron to kill snakes in your summer garden cos you can use the offset as a shepherds crook!!  I heard the design engineers went out on an all weekend Vegas trip and bumped into Bobby Pellet from Pellet Industries and he vomited up the blueprints for these from his ****** bag iron collection in his porn mansion. Seriously, what the f*** are you thinking Ping?

Always liked the 222 combo with the 2WAL wedge, and the 2.2 putter is nice also.

S55s are too small for me, so if they’re smaller than that they'd be no good for me.
