Titleist T350 irons

I had T200’s that I loved, but made the move to T300’s after trying them and hitting them better. Both of those were stock off the shelf sets. I then went to a Titleist fitting and was fit for the T350’s with regular graphite shafts standard loft and lie. Hitting the T350’s higher and longer then the others with the current shafts so really liking them.

I am playing mine with the 950 GH NEO shafts (R) and have experienced the same thing.  I am trying a T200 7-iron which hits a bit lower, and probably not as far (I am hitting in a dome), and I could see playing the T200's if distance is not an issue.  I really like my TSR1 6-hybrid, so it might work.  I will end up having both to chose from when I play outside.

Thank you! So is that a senior shaft or a regular flex shaft?

we have a few sets of T irons in stock at our Golf Town.  It’s different to hit them outside though.

Just looked, senior shaft. That’s what they fit this old guy in (70).

The Nippon 950 GH NEO is pretty close to a senior shaft.  But a club and try it; you will be surprised.

Oh snap! Looks like they just put a cover plate (not so well apparently 😆) over the T300 cavity!

They can call it whatever they want.  It’s a cheap piece of plastic that’s glued on the back of the club.   Does it look better than the older version yes.  Have they been popping off the back of clubs, yes.  Confirmed by multiple sellers.  Terrible.  I’ve already traded mine in and a shame because I liked the clubs.  I just felt like I was driving in a car that was in an accident.   Not the same.  Get rid of it.

I've played about a dozen rounds with my T-350's and have had no issues. I wonder what the percentage of defects is, since I'm betting it's not ALL of them, probably a percentage of them sold during a specific date period that had some bad epoxy, maybe Titleist can identify the batches. The clubs are fantastic, so if it's just a cosmetic issue that can be resolved with a dab of epoxy that's not going to deter me if it happens, and I'd probably just fix it myself. Bad glue happens.

 

In my experience as a club builder, and as a consumer of many different OEM brands, this sounds like a pretty minor problem to resolve, especially if you really love the clubs. I agree it's certainly unacceptable given the amount of cash people are paying for these - the QC process should be scrutinized and heads should roll, but it's not the end of the world for me if it does happen.

 

FWIW, TaylorMade is the king of poor quality products off the shelf... from iron heads flying off and doing the walk of shame down the driving range to retrieve them, and pretty severe ferrule creep within a short period of time on brand new irons and woods.... it happens all the time with TM, at least that's been my experience.

I bought mine 2nd hand, makes me concerned that if that happens to mine they wont cover the warranty or replace?  Anybody with insight on this?

I don’t think it will affect performance other than sound but I could be wrong and probably am. lol I’d just reglue them on with gorilla glue.  But for the price of these clubs, it shouldn’t be happening

How would they know you are the second owner?

Anyone bend these 2* weak to get lofts in line with other clubs? Been playing i230 range irons forever and thinking about going this route as irons play is the weakest part of my game. Play with a couple of players better than me that play 300s and thinking this may help me.

I bought a T350 7-iron, Nippon 950 NEO R shaft.  Hit it today.  I guess I got a good one, because each shot was high and well hit.  I must say, it feels better than my T300 with the same shaft.  Damn, now do I pick up the 8-iron, or go with the T200 8-iron?  Decisions.  I really like my T200 9-iron.

Go through a Titleist retailer.  Let them handle the warranty claims for you.

yes, but i bent it weak 2 to match my set.  i custom ordered at 1/4 inch long to match DI lengths, and im absolutely loving it.  incredible on misses too

Playing T350 since September 2023. 
Backplate came off the PW February 2024. Fitter very helpful and contacted Titleist and I received new PW on 15/3/24. 
But today 2/4/24 noticed that the backplate is missing from my 6 iron now ! The 8 iron backplate sounds hollow when you tap it so I can assume it’s about to fly off soon. 
Will contact my fitter and I’m sure Titleist will replace without any issues. 
On the T350’s performance, I love them. Best I’ve ever had to date. But like others have mentioned, cheap plastic backplate lets them down. Didn’t notice any drop in performance after loosening the backplates.

They can be with the appropriate shaft.  I am using Nippon 950GH NEO.  Nice high launch.

I JUST MOVED FROM SRIXON ZX5 w/ Neo 950 reg's to the T350 zelos 7 reg as per my fitting.Same great feel but a little more distance ; better descent angle  but very happy so far

I had 3 backs come off in the same round.  I sent the entire set back to titleist and asked for a replacement set.  We'll see what happens.

As for Awtryau89-No.  As a short player I could have made them stronger as I have no problem getting the ball high.  Currently my 7 iron goes 175 using a crappy range ball.  swing speed 105.  I'm parring more holes than ever before and I'm 53.  A couple more years and I might try for the senior tour.

Well I hate to say it but I'm glad I found this thread. Have been looking at the T350's for a while, would be trading up from my Ping G425's I have been gaming for two seasons. I have been pushed towards the T350's by a few people but I think I'll continue looking around until they confirm they have fixed the issues.

I have a set of MB blades, players CBs and wanted a GI set to play around with. Landed on the T300s. Essentially the 350s w/the “guts” exposed. After reading this, seems like the set to have.

Titleist says that it was a combination of bad epoxy from a 3rd vendor and machine calibration-lazy employee.  They estimate about 1500 sets to be defective based on serial number.

They are working vigilantly to fix this issue.  I'm still waiting for my clubs to be returned or replaced.

I am not surprised they identified the faulty sets and figured out what caused the problem.

 

Yesterday I just happened to see a set of T350's for the first time and even if the back plate stays firmly attached I've got to say it's a rather unappealing (to me) look. Don't know why they feel the need to take a perfectly fine cavity back iron and try to make it look like a fake hollow body. Strangely disappointing for a company with Titleist's rather traditional client base.
