Um ... Player missed the '73 Masters but great spiel.

He did make 23 straight cuts.  But if the post you replied to is correct that Player claimed it wasn’t from injury then someone’s lying.  Looked it up and one site claimed he was recovering from injury and another claimed it was an illness.

He's an absolute legend, hands down the best to ever do it. No other HOF player would even dream of entering this tournament. Tdub not only made the cut but finished while others would have WD. Entered the arena with limited practice and zero reps just for the chance to compete and the urge to win. Making himself 100% vulnerable... Still remains the best dressed player on the course.

Tiger is something else ... But it pales in comparison to the extremes his fans will go to try to make him even more than he is.

I've always been a Tiger fan, not fanatic about it, but a fan.  Tiger says he doesn't want to be a "ceremonial" golfer, but I believe that's what he's become.  I wish he'd retire gracefully, enjoy his kids, relax & take care of himself.  He can no longer play competitive golf.

It's the pursuit that matters to guys like him

Yeah ... When I think of Tiger, I think "class act" ...

never thought I would here Tiger described as the best dressed golfer and a class act.

Do all Aussies dislike TW? I mean, I get GN, TW probably made sure he couldn’t set foot on Augusta without scrounging a ticket 🤣

But what’s your problem?

I'm not from Australia for a start, maybe buy yourself an atlas.

Who said I hate TW?

Except for the time when he literally veered off course in a Genesis and almost lost his leg.

And that time with the Denny’s waitress . . .

And the SUV into the tree . . .

Yep, you are correct.  An absolute class act from day one.

What did he say that is wrong? Who honestly would put Tiger on a best dressed or class act list?

Great golfer ... Yes.

Bro. He just made his 24th straight Masters cut on playing a goof off PNC classic and 2 rounds of tour golf in the calendar year 2024. Friday beat him up and lack of competition got him on the weekend. It’s not all that complicated.

Valhalla is a much flatter course so that could be beneficial to him. Nobody’s expecting miracles, he’s just out enjoying himself.

From all the reports of the giggles and such it's likely 25 holes on day two took too much of a toll and sent him deep into the pills where he may have stayed upright but he couldn't do anything great for most of the rounds following. His body's not going to magically get better and he's healed from the ankle fusion so this is how it will be going forward.

Maybe  there's a glimmer that he can do something if he can get lucky with 18 holes per day only to stay off the meds. He'd just shared that he plays aggressively for the front of the cup with his putting and that was nowhere in evidence on day 3 and 4. He'll need everything under the sun to go his way to have a chance and this week sadly wasn't it.

Greatest tragedy of his career will be that idiotic driving that got him where he is now. After 2019 he still had the potential to reach or eclipse 19 with a win a year or so at the courses he knows better than anyone near his caliber on Tour then or now. Like many, I'll always wonder what was going through his head that possessed him to do something so stupid.
