The initial post was about Tiger not quitting. Smith played 8 more games arter that injury and then retired. It’s posible there is some crazy dude that has made more comebacks after serious injuries. But not in NFL. A fused back is in itself career ending in NFL. There are reasons to why Tiger walks like an old man. NFL players don’t.

Idk, but he clearly was walking with a noticeable limp before Rd 2, he was not going to be within 10 shots of the lead even if he finished the round, I just think the past weekend was a test run and I'm not sure he's got it in him anymore.

He may tee it up at Augusta and might...might make the cut, but he won't contend. Hitting shots isn't the problem, walking a very hilly golf course for four days is the issue. And of course, reps!! He doesn't get enough to compete with the best in the world.  Yes, in general he has had more talent than just about anyone, but at that level, even he can't compete if he doesn't compete on a regular basis. Once a month isn't enough, especially when he doesn't ever make it 4 rounds.  Common sense and logic will tell you he can't really be competitive at Augusta beyond one round.

common sense would also say give it this year before you judge 

 

he’s probably only been hitting competitive balls for a couple months

 

6 months ago he wasn’t walking
