As for all time I'd suggest you check out John Daly's playing career and his number of WD's. This was TW's 12th W/D. Far from the most.

 

JD has 39 W/D's on the regular tour and another 24 on the Champion's Tour. A few on the KFT as well.

Remember when Tiger won a Major with a fractured leg?  Sometimes he would grimace after a swing.  I remember one of the announcers saying Tiger was faking the pain because he only grimaced after a bad shot.  Some things never change.

I find it disgusting that people are saying Tiger is a quitter. There is not a player in the history of golf that has had more injuries (probably in all of professional sports). He has had 5 back surgeries and 6 knee surgeries. And that doesn’t include his car crash that crushed his lower leg. Or his last surgery. He has won everything there is. Serveral times. He has nothing to prove to anyone. He is the last person on the planet you should say is a quitter.

Well said. He very well could have the most WD's but name another player who has had that many surgeries at his age and is playing on the PGA. With his money he could have quit a long time ago. He's the most determined and competitive golfer in the history of the game. And I'm not his biggest fan.

It's a lot for a golfer, drop in the bucket for NFL veterans. Let's jot go overboard and say he's had more injuries and operations than any pro athlete.

Don’t be silly. Name one NFL veteran that has even had half of his surgeries. He can play becuse it’s golf and he has the brain wired so he can adjust his swing like no one else. He’d be done 15 years ago had it been NFL. Heck, his rehab alone spans over 2/3 of a normal NFL players career. You think someone can run, turn and tackel with those knees, that foot, ankle and that back?

There are 2 reasons why Tiger’s body deteriorated so rapidly. Let’s be real.

PEDs and overtraining like his whole Navy Seal stint. Whoever says he was not using PEDs at his peak is ignoring the glaringly obvious.

 Now you are even more silly. You are talking about post infection cleanups and skin transplants. Sure, his injury was terrible. Broken fibia and tibia. Still not as bad as Tigers open wound crushed tibia and fibia that also included broken foot and ankle. And that was just the cherry on the top for Tiger. Fused back, knee surgeries and list goes on. 
 

The initial post was about Tiger not quitting. Smith played 8 more games arter that injury and then retired. It’s posible there is some crazy dude that has made more comebacks after serious injuries. But not in NFL. A fused back is in itself career ending in NFL. There are reasons to why Tiger walks like an old man. NFL players don’t.
