I’m doing something similar with a SeeMore Nashville and it’s absolutely unbelievable.  I’m short and traditionally used a 33.25 in putter but recently switched to a 36 in with the see more 14.75 inch, 120 gram grip.  The Jailbird didn’t work for me but I liked the concept.  I grip at the top of the putter and have made more 25-30 footers in the last two rounds than all season combined.  Incredible.

I asked LAB about this months ago playing at 38" and they told me their putters aren't to be used counterbalanced.  Now that someone wins with one they are offering it as an option!?

37.5" so extra long and he chokes down on it to give him a counterweight type setup.

 

I imagine the SW is pretty high as that appears to be the head of a broomstick model. You can tell by the double row of weight on each wing. Regular Mezz Max has only a single row on each side.

At least 3 L.A.B. putters in the top 10 this week. Third L.A.B. putter win of the year as well. The Anser style faithful are going to have a meltdown.

I’m currently gaming a counterbalanced Link. 36.5” with a LAGP shaft and a Garsen Max 15” grip. Really liking it so far.

Rickie's putter is more like 38.5" and Camillo's is 37.5"

I ordered one last night on their website. Under Putting Style option there is a “counterbalanced” option. You can’t pick the length and the only grip option is the long SuperStroke grip.

I reached out a few weeks ago to LAB about his specs and they sent me this back. Interesting they said it was an armlock  

 

Thanks for reaching out! His specs are as follows: 

 

Shaft length:	37.5
Lie Angle:	74
Shaft Lean:	1° ( 3.5º Effective Loft)

 

st so you know, it works so well for him because it was fit specifically to his stroke. Getting fit for an armlock is slightly different than getting fit for our other models.  I have included a link to our owner talking through the armlock fitting process below. Y

I think the difficult thing is they can’t put the putter in their “revealer” if there’s a weight in the handle; they have no way to hang the putter from the grip. 
 

I also saw someone mention that the weight on the underside of the grip makes it impossible to balance.

We don't recommend building a counter balance putter because of how we make they are weighted. A counter balance putter can be difficult to lie angle balance.

I asked today and LAB said a 38 inch LAB putter can be lie angled and  balanced with their technology...

Is the Rickie Jailbird 380 actually counter balanced or is it just a longer length?  I have one and was curious, I know it doesn't have the super stroke version with the weight in the butt end.  I have a Mezz Max on order (standard length) but i'm putting really well with the Jailbird so I feel like the longer Mezz Max could be the way to go.

The grip and amount of grip above your hands acts as the counter balance. You don't need an internal weight to counter balance, a heavy enough grip will do the same thing and grip above the hands adds to it.
