So I would comment, that except for a very low percentage of golf tech nerds, 99.999% of the people I know had no clue Tiger wore Nike, or that his contract ending is considering a big deal. And the discussion went right back to making fun of one guy's new car purchase.  30 second blip on the radar for most people. 

How old even are you guys???? Tiger woods with nike is just like jordan with nike but they didnt quite treat it the same because its a less popular sport. Its like if jordan were to leave nike if would have been a huge deal. Its something most people thought would never happen. Only people i know that dont know anything about tiger woods are women or really young people who havent seen much of him.

I'm not sure. I'd love to see him in full Footjoy but that would be foolish of me lol. If Tiger ever went back to titleist it would be a dream come true. I can already imagine the custom 621.TW 🤤

No Laying Up broke this story and has said he was going to sign with an OEM. It’s going to be Taylormade. They didn’t specify if it was a head to toe deal.

I think the fact they gave golf to the skateboard dept was a sign of things to come. I saw somewhere they will keeping making Jordan golf shoes and the company that manages Srixon North America is taking over the regular golf shoe distribution

Am I missing taylormade golf apparel? All I found was mostly casual wear. Outside some jackets and polos

Lululemon already has a relatively big sponsorship deal with the Canadian Olympic Committee. I know they are big time but even for them adding a guy like Tiger might be tough financially on top of an Olympic sponsorship. Plus their core market really isn't golf. They have golf stuff but it's more of an after thought than a primary revenue driver. Unless they change dramatically in thinking Tiger and Lulu doesn't make much sense even though it does seem to be a pretty natural fit based on his style off the course. Greyson makes sense just because they are already into golf, adding Tiger immediately makes them arguably the pre-eminent name in golf fashion

Supposedly TM is going to dive into the apparel side pretty heavy very soon.  Rumors out there stating that they will

take over Gfore.  I just cannot see TW wearing Gfore but I guess stranger things have happened🤷

I thought G-Fore was owned or at least tied to Peter Millar?  However, the do have a number of existing footwear collaborations.

Nike's stuff has sucked the past few years. Used to be die hard but it was obvious they were mailing it in and I've moved past their stuff. Losing Tiger is the last straw for me. 

 

Shoes have been awful and really jumped the shark with the permanent spikes on the Infinity Tours. Clothes uninspired and poorly designed. Accessories have always been 2nd rate.

Yes, Peter Millar bought G-fore a few years ago.
