It pains me to type this, but I gotta give the man a little respect for playing that mixed bag.  Usually these current or former athletes get a full bag hookup from some OEM with all the latest and greatest that makes em look like they’re playing a rental set.

He's not nearly as big now as he was during his Rangers/Yankees days.  Had one of the sweetest swings in baseball though.

Most guys growing up playing baseball still swing fast even as we get older because we learn to use our hips/core/legs to generate power.  I wouldn't be surprised if A-Rod could still hit 115+ ss at his age.

I don't think A-Rod's too concerned about damaging his clubs.  The guy has generational wealth.  I get what you're saying though as someone that's anal about taking care of my clubs.

I met him once in '95 at the AAA Rainiers club right before he got permanently called up to the Mariners. As an 11 year old it was pretty easy to tell he was a d*ck

Last time I saw his WITB I believe he had like 3 different ancient 4 irons and some other random clubs, so this bag is a big upgrade.

Back when he was in Seattle.  Loved that dude (mind you, Randy Johnson was young-ish in those days and ARod wasn’t built like a line backer) that guy was awesome.  
 

I think the move to bigger and 3rd base changes his mystique to me.  
 

Still love the player, would love to see an alternate universe that that M’s team stays together for 4 more years.  
 

Against the Sandman and the Yankees (remember the Giambi A’s were good too).  The AL actually had some action. 
 

Back to golf.  Athletic dude, maybe underdog with the irons.  Just sayin’

I remember that as well.  By looking at his left arm in these pics as well as remembering that makes me think he doesn't take his golf too serous and is probably only there because it is the place to be right now.

Yeah his follow through pics above look like a 70yr old just allowing the club back there but slowed it down at impact.

Also the way he tosses them back in the bag. 
ARod is such an awkward dude. I remember that giant Hamburger Helper hand smacking the ball out of Bronson’s glove running to first. Haha
