I ignored everything until I spied the dark finish more trad (Ping copy) heads. Love the dark finish.

If one was a total newb to golf here, they’d be certain SC is the only one copying PING. As always, the most successful gets the most arrows shot at ‘em.
That said, yeah, that dark finish ‘Timeless’ is a stunner fur sure 🤩

 

*not calling you out in particular. You can very well be the guy that calls all Anser style heads ‘Ping copies’. Was just basically thinkin’ out loud. 😇

Welcome to another pile on fest of negative Scotty posts. Don't understand why this happens so much on Wrx. All the putter manufactures copy each other with little tweaks here or there. Simply disparaging another putter will not make your putter better, improve your self worth, or make you a better putter. I'm not faulting constructive criticism, but the wash and repeat he copied this, copied that, gets old and smacks of insecurity. Frankly some of the new mallets look better than Spiders and the other mallets out there IMO.

I have one of those UST Mamiya All-In putters shafts (100% graphite) and could not be happier. Their shafts are so consistent, very high quality.

 

I like seeing Scotty have it in atleast one putter, I would think they would use more expensive shafts to keep up appearances.

Right on. I seldom see shots being taken at Callaway or TM for making cosmetic changes to putters they've been selling for years

People are just being honest.  Cameron used to make clean putters in dark finishes with Titleist in the cavity.  Those were money.  The modern day busy designs are mid.  Can still like Titleist and be honest about what's being produced now.

Like I mentioned, constructive criticism like that is fine. It's the bandwagon gang that comes to slam Scotty's using the worn out he copied x, he copied y that gets old and feels like jealousy.

It's things like making an extra long grip - which lot's of people make - and calling it the "LD" like it's new invention that rubs people the wrong way. Cameron has this annoying habit of copying other people - which you said is not uncommon - but he puts a ridiculous marketing spin in it that's always cringeworthy.

 

And I just paid hundreds of dollars for a 25 year old Cameron last night, so I'm not hating on his products at all.

At this point just retro the Futura Phantom line, a modern Studio Design line and then Studio Stainless(including Newport Beach) on rotation forever and call it a career…
