In regard to Scheff's putting. I think the problem is more about his green reading. Seems he strikes it well it's just not the right read.

At this point I’d be questioning if the hole is actually moving when I don’t look at it.

I don’t understand why Ricky had to re-tee there for a hazard. I’m not a rule guru, can someone explain?

Because even if it embedded into the bank, the red line over the water is on the other side of where the ball embedded, so the point it crossed the red line is like 275 yards back to the tee. So he goes back to the tee on the line where is crossed the red which is like 20 yards in front of the tee box and hits his 3rd.

Didn't see it but the only reasons I can think of is:

Potential Out of Bounds

Can't Identify It - stuck up in a tree...

correct in this case. And at that distance, putting it back on the tee is more sensible than dropping it by the edge of the lake.

Ah okay, when tuned in they were looking and they showed a replay from down range that looked like it curved in. When he got back to the tee i realized why. Thanks

Yep. I'm sure he'd rather take driver placed on a tee off a perfectly manicured and level tee box over 3w being dropped (so you don't control the lie) and hit off the deck only 20 yards closer.

Been watching on TV late evening for a while now. Rough seems to be really penalizing. Should make things interesting.

Noticing that also the commentators are at times unrealistic regarding Scottie’s putting. You see a box saying 20% of these putts are made on tour and when Scottie misses it it’s ”oh boy”.

 

Guess it’s just everyone hoping he’d get hot with the flat stick.

It’s the entire package and I think a lot of people can relate to that. Is it my read? Am I not alligned? Is my putter not alligned? Is it my stroke? How do I tell my wife I bought a new putter?

 

And soon you’re so lost you don’t know what to trust and have completely lost any kind of baseline that you can try to return to.

the reason i didnt have knapp's scrambling number is cause he hadnt made par after missing the green yet so the pga tour app didnt have his scrambling ratio.
