One of those "sounds good" things (doesn't sound good to me, lol) that always gets tossed out there.

 

The Augusta National Women's Am is a great event and dovetails nicely with the DC&P and The Masters and gives the club a nice hook back to the amateur roots of its founder.  No need to detract from it and who cares if the LPGA plays Augusta National.  

 

They have no reason to host another professional tournament, no real place on the schedule for it, nor do they probably want to - don't blame them.

Said it before, but again, it's a great course, and nearly perfect for match play. Brutally tough, but with only one hole to play at a time, it allows the players to be aggressive. Really hope to play it in a couple of weeks.

format turned out ok still wish there was more matches to the match play. 1 match on sunday down from 6 on saturday is sad.

Yep, needs more matches to be a proper match play event.

 

Either 3 stroke play rounds to qualify to a last 16 for matches over 2 days or 2 stroke play qualifying rounds and 64 for matches over 3 days.

 

I'd like to see 2 rounds of matches per day (64 in match play is 6 rounds over 3 days/ 16 in match play is 4 rounds over 2 days); the final day was a bit of an anti-climax with just the final match and Nelly off to a fast start and dominant/Leona with a few mistakes and not on with her putting.

 

It was still ok this year, fine course and a decent field.
