I have a few older golf buddies who wear clothes until they wear out, so see them in 80’S, 90’s etc golf clothing.  
One guy who is retired wears his old suit pants golfing, because  “they’re not worn out”.

I hadn't seen Day's trousers in the highlights i'd watched... but that clip of flapping bagginess had me googling... and it could be worse.

Awful, just awful.  My wife even commented on how bad it looked.

 

Interestingly enough, our son liked them.  He's 17, go figure.

If you yank the cord hanging out of the bottom they rapidly inflate and double as a flotation device in case of emergency. Day has been flying Boeing so it makes sense.

But if whoever is buying Malbon stuff ever complains about being broke, take a look at your Malbon bill. $250 for "performance joggers", the pants Day is wearing today $180. You could buy these pants from Dockers for $20 probably for the same look and atleast feel satisfied you didnt spend almost 10x on the same product

Agree -- the skinny fit with the 'no socks' look is bloody awful too..... no accounting for people's idea of what looks good. There are some 'clowns who turn up to play golf in open-toe golf sandals - undoubtedly one of the stupidest ideas ever and they could only look worse if someone trots them out with calf-length socks. The thing is people no longer seem to care what everyone else thinks and that's a reasonable stance to take when society is diving into the Abyss. Next thing you know we'll think drawing on ourselves is a good look!

Damn. Ya’ll was mad when Tiger was wearing the same sized pants or no? Actually now that I remember people were. Because any time somebody disrupts golf’s ancient and stale standards it’s an issue. 
 

These pants are only an issue on tour. But I think it’s just these new brands shaking things up and I love it! Off the tour individual style is taking over in golf. And I think the game needs it to “grow the game” 

 

Much respect to Malbon and Jason taking that chance of disruption. It’s working. Classic marketing move. The PR and chatter is insane.
