Nailed him with a water bottle and knocked him down.  Throwing bottles on the green is part of the encouraged atmosphere, surprised it hasn't happened before.  

 

Herbert, the caddie's player, delivered this pretty weak defense on behalf of . . . the fan - so the caddie knows where he stands (or lies on the ground as it were):  "It’s probably difficult to request someone who has had 15 beers to aim a water bottle away from someone. That’s maybe asking too much."  No doubt Greg will give him a PR loyalty bonus for that one.

Wow. I was enjoying the team playoff, then the crowds got classless real quick and ruined it.

Well, for starters, someone yelled during Burmester's backswing. Even Jerry Foltz couldn't ignore that one describing it as "some of the Aussie fans playing defence". Then the booing/heckling on both bunker shots. 

 

But if you ply people with alcohol and encourage them to be part of the show and that's what you get.

 

Pity because I think LIV has some good points; The faster paced coverage and the team elements made it more interesting to me that the DP world event in Japan. It just turned incredibly trashy at the end.

Golf isn't football though. Noise & crowd actions don't directly influence the results on the football field. They do with golf. 

 

What we saw was akin to some of the ugliness that we see in the Ryder Cup from time to time and at the Phoenix open.

 

Not blaming team ripper. It looked like Cams caddie was remonstrating with the crowds before his approach putt. And they all looked a little sheepish afterwards. 

 

Luckily the Saffers took it well. The sacks of cash for all probably helps.

It’s tough being a Stinger GC fan! Blew an 11 shot lead in jeddah earlier this year and now this! It’s like having kyle shanahan as a coach.

Excepting Horsfield those were three of my favorites - was a huge Stenson fan, still watch the final round of his Open win from time to time.
