Titleist GT drivers - 2024 the Memorial Tournament

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the "GT" has something to do with the materials used on the club. Just a guess, but I'm guessing it's Galvorn which is a carbon alternative.

Galvorn is carbon though, or at least that is my understanding of it.  I don't see anything than stands out that may be a carbon type material.

Titleist said when they came out with TSi that they went with the lettering for the alignment aide because the tour staff liked the look of the lettering better vs the triangle alignment.  That's why they've kept it that way in TSR and now GT.

Titleist's has been pushing the materials thing for a while. When everyone else went Carbon, they went titanium and then introduced the ATI Aerospace grade face. Not saying it is Galvorn but there is going to be a "latest and greatest" materials story. I would almost bet on it.

I am curious as to what the GT1 will look like.  Will it be a bigger profile like the G430 10K or the other "Max" drivers on the market?  I'll wait.  I'm going to try the G430 10K against my TSR1 tonight.

Interesting strategy.

GT4 will be the smaller head, lowest spin option just like it has always been.

Have loved the last couple drivers, TSI and TSR. Will definitely check these out, the sound/feel of the TSR line was great. Only thing that held me back from gaming one was the paint chipping issues. Titleist was good enough to honor warranty claims regarding the paint for me on a driver and a 3 wood, but was a bit annoying to have to be without a club for a month. Hope they fixed that this time around.

 

My big question is how is the GT line going to improve on the TSR line? TSR was/is a great club, what new tech are they bringing? The GT images I've seen look like slightly new styling, same face material, etc. Either way, I'll be demoing them. It's a sickness 🙂

On the surface, they are predictably beautiful in the classical Titleist way. 

 

But really, I can't wait to hear about what's under the hood, what the initial reviews are, and (most importantly) what they feel like to hit. 

 

My personal experience was almost in complete accordance with the reviews and general impression in the golfing world when it came to the TSR line (I have D, FWs, and a hybrid): They are possibly some of the best clubs Titleist has ever produced.

 

Eager to see if they've outdone themselves with the GT lineup. I do find it interesting that while we were all gossiping about whether it would be called the 925, or TS(x), they instead introduced an entirely new naming convention. This may just be marketing, or it may be that there is something genuinely new going on inside the clubs. Time will tell.

 

One hopeful sign (I think) is that from an initial glance at the pictures, the shaft adapter looks the same. (I've got upgraded shafts in my D and FWs and would want to stay with them - hopefully it will be as simple as merely swapping them out.)
