2012 Nike Free Golf Shoe

Not the most stylish shoe out there but I'd give them a shot. My feet still respond better to an old-school welted shoe, but I would certainly try these.

IMO, they are miles better-looking than the True Linkswear shoes.

I love nike free shoes. These are a must have. I like the look of the white because I wear shorts most of the time when I play. I think it is tough to pull off black shoes and shorts.

Had the NIke Rep come by yesterday and show these to me. Release date is in June.

i just don't get the june release date.... alot off golfers are getting ready for the season in the northern states , why wait untill everyone has there new stuff for the year... tiger is playing more and everyone sees him wearing them... the longer he wears them without them be availble is going to , turn people away.. look at callaway phil wins instead of turning away sales the jump the gun........ come on nike step up if they don't come out untill june i will wait for the second verison for chirstmas and rock them in 2013 i think alot of people will to....

Definitely a fan for the more "casual" round. If I were to buy these, would I be wearing them at a high end facility? Nope, probably not. But otherwise, I think they look awesome. Big fan of the movement of a more casual shoe in the golf world.

I'd bet these would fetch at least $500 on the bay... If not much more. I'm waiting on them to be released and will at the least try them on (hopefully in black).

The haters in here can hate all they want, but until you've worn a pair of Nike Free shoes you don't know what comfort is. They are unreal. The question becomes will golfers sacrifice looks of a traditional stiff leather shoe for comfort and playability.

I actually have had my Frees (non golf version) for over a year and find them to be the most uncomfortable trainer type shoe I've ever worn. Very little support and cushioning and after walking 2 miles or so my feet are killing me. I do like the weight and the look but not the best for comfort. I think there will better options available for golf.

im a huge fan of nike free shoes... they feel like your wearing water shoes at first and then once you get used to them, you forget you have shoes on at all. Wonder what the price point of these are going to be? These are ugly as hell, but with the amount of different styles Nike free shoes are in, I'd hope there would be a nicer looking option.

The Nike Free line is a gold mine for Nike. It is their cheapest shoe to produce and fetches the price of normal shoes. I imagine the margin on this golf shoe will be insane comparitively to the already insane margin on their other shoes.

There is a reason running enthusiast turn to brands such as Asics for their running needs due to the technology in the shoe which reduces fatigue on the joints.

That being said... I do like the nike free and will likely buy a black pair. I will never wear them without pants though as you would look like a fool.

Those "golf shoes" are lacking only one improvement from being my Grandpa's new golf spikes......velcro strips instead of laces! Those things look like something you would buy at Kmart There are times I believe people on this forum would wear 6" pink heels if the "golf God Tiger" would wear them.....

The early prototype version was much more FREE inspired. The point of the design of the FREE outsole is to enhance the natural range of movement by allowing the sole to flex in multiple directions. The flex channels on the side of the final versions are gone. Not very FREE. I expected the final version outsole to look like the MID Special Field Boot or the FREE TR 2.

If you're reading this NIKE, bring back the SP-8 TW Tour.
