Do you use your Scotty Cameron headcovers?

I wish the Titleist stand bags had some sort of putter well/slot like the cart bags. The bottom of my Scotty headcover always gets bent up/spreads out after a while

Do you think these thieves are able to tell its a Scotty if the headcover used is a Scotty special release headcover?

I'm open to finding a non-Cameron cover, but I really like the matching black/red color combo between the putter design and the cover (studio select newport 2.6) and it's not like the stock one is that rare or expensive, plus I never leave the Cameron in the bag without the cover because a dinged up Scotty is like a beat up rusty Porsche. If that's the way you wanna rock it fine....but personally it makes me kinda sad to see it.

Yes, I use the 2012 Club Cameron brown leather cover on my 2012 Select, and a 2010(?) Scotland cover on my David Duval putter.

I don't have any custom covers, but if I found one I really liked the looks of I would probably use it.

I find that the covers on the current models seem a little big. I use an old Lynx cover, it's red so it matches the bag, it's a little smaller so it fits well, and I can't imagine a Lynx putter is calling out to anyone to steal me.

I don't, but only because I don't like the Velcro. I use a putter lounge double revolver headcover with the magnet closure.

+1 - keep the limiteds in storage, game the mass produced/generics. I might trot out a rare Scotty for an outing (if the weather is guaranteed good!)

I buy nice used to game so I don't feel guilty hurting a nice scotty cover.. Wait a minute, I just spent 30 minutes reading about people using or not using a headcover. Anyways, I say keep it as you buy it. Buy new, keep new. Buy used then game it and if you are worried about it getting stolen then you shouldn't be using a scotty in the first place.

Almost all of the covers are limited production ones, so I game basically every headcover I own. I'd even game the tour only ones if I had any. However, if I purchased one for investment purposes, I'd keep it for display only. Otherwise, I'm careful to not leave my bag unattended and leave the rain cover on until I'm on the first tee.

I tend to take mine off after the first hole and replace it with a thick wool sock, ha. Then put it back on after the round. I don't like taking the cover off every time I putt, but still like a little protection when I'm walking.

I play with a custom shop Red Roller that I love. I also have a Studio Design as backup, but for the special edition headcovers (British Open, Boise PotatoHead Open), I choose to keep them in their bag.

I always use a generic black cover that came with the first Cameron putters. Doesn't scream steal me like the headcover that came with the putter that says circle T GSS Cameron and Company on it... (Newport II GSS with vertical scotty cameron stamped on face---basically a Tiger copy without Tiger Woods on it)

I had a Custom Shop 911 headcover on my Newport Select for a while, but the Velcro is now worn out so I'm back to the stock head cover.

There's never been a problem with thievery at my course, but can one really be too paranoid?

I game my "Cash is King" cover on my Del Mar...used it for half of this past season and you really can't tell at all. Although I game it, I'm very very very careful with it.

I understand not gaming some of them, the more collectable, rare ones that is, but for the most part I'm of the feeling that they were meant to be used. I've wondered if I ever owned a 009 with a Circle T cover if I'd ever game it...it would be a tough call but ultimately, I wouldn't be able to just look at it in my house, I'd have to take it out to the course at least every once in a while.

Heck ya I game them!!! No point in hanging them around the house because the values decline every year it seems like. The majority I see for sale are just way overpriced and the sellers just get stuck with them or part ways with them for half of what they listed them for. Why not show them off out on the course?

I do not use mine because I cannot stand puttter head covers with a velcroe enclosure. They always get dirty and end up falling off. I use a special edition Oddesey Cover that has a magnetic closure. I love it.

I use a custom made head cover. I don't want to advertise that I have a $300+ putter just sitting there waiting to be stolen while I pay for my tee time. I try to leave my bag by a window because I have had something stolen from my bag before. I replace all my head covers so that only my irons/wedges are visible.
