What is it, maybe a few minutes over a 5 hour telecast that those select few are shouting during tee shots, does it truly ruin your viewing experience? My apology for not having 1 or 2k posts... You can't "grow the game" while trying to exclude the average sports fan at the same time, it's an oxymoron.

Am I shouting "mashed potatoes" after Tiger stripes one? No- I refer to my earlier comment about fans needing to heckle other fans. But if the game's marketing angle is that their players are athletes and golf is big-time pro sports, then it's trying to associate itself with other sports. Fan interaction comes with the territory.

If you want Bushwood Country Club fine, but stop trying to mainstream the sport then. Can't have it both ways.

Maybe if Arnie, Jack, and others who run their own "name" tournaments adopted a similar policy it would free up players to speak their minds about the policy change and more tournaments would start to adopt it?
