Very disappointed today. My Rep was suppose to come up and see me today and show me all the new clubs.
Unfortunettly his wife was not feeling well.
I did asked him if there would be a Bertha Fairway and if it would be Hotter then the X Hot.
Yes and it will be adjustible in a 3,5,7.
Hmmmmmm.

When you say adjustable, are you talking about weights/COG or are you talking about loft.

Because if you're talking about loft, then maybe lefties can make a 4 wood out of it.

I know if I were Golf WRX, I wouldn't want anyone to post the pics in fear of ticking off Callaway. Gotta keep those advertising dollars coming in from water bugs.
WRX members should NEVER fear posting true feelings, reviews or images EVER! We as a community shouldn't have to worry about "advertisement dollars" I'm pretty sure the creation of WRX was because of that same issue with another site.

So outside of breaking any laws post away and never hold a fear of any OEM and their advertisement money!

Correct me if I'm wrong....Kadin
OK. You're WRONG! :)
This is from Richard, under the "who is golfwrx" section of the site:

"The tipping point for myself was when I found a driver I thought was better than the others and began to write reviews and hyping it on other blogs and forums. I did this on one of those other sites, one which I spent countless hours on and gave years of support. The threads (my comments) got squashed and pushed off to a dark place where you couldn't see it. I tried to repost the thread but the same thing happened. That driver was not for sale by the owner of the site and they could not profit from the hype. So my hype was not welcome.
That led me to believe that I was in the wrong place and needed to find a place that wasn't motivated by profit but was motivated by the simple objective to create a place that was for the golfers well being and no other reason. Due to the lack of options out there we started GolfWRX. It was built for golfers by golfers. To read and share our thoughts with my peers. The owners all have day jobs and careers that do not lean on proceeds from GolfWRX. All the money GolfWRX has made to date has gladly been reinvested in to the site to make it better for the members. We do not sell equipment and will not do so in fear of spinning reviews and opinions."
I don't see the correlation between this and pictures. Enjoy your quest
Thanks man, all this encouragement from everyone sure is GREAT. I will continue on this endeavor guided by your brave support!
I'm guessing callaway would just ask for the pictures to be taken down and WRX would comply. The part you quoted about the site being formed talks about someone's review being hidden because the site owner didnt sell that club, that's not relevant at all in this situation. I've seen other images taken down after posting, the sm5 vokey info for example, so I think that's the case. Don't want to tick off the OEM's but I don't think it's about advertising $ either, its the relationships. That's probabaly why Wrx is usually the first site with legit pics of new equipment as far as I can tell.

Those clubs would never sell in today's market IMO. More people gravitate to hybrids instead of higher lofted fwys like they did back in the day when the clubs you mentioned were popular. It will be very interesting to see where they go with this rekindled line!

Gents,

Saw some info in an above post I need to correct...

Yes, there are two drivers.

The Big Bertha has a sliding perimeter weight. You can put it in any position, no notches.

The BB Alpha is a similar shape but with a deeper face. The poster was correct, it does have a center port in the sole that affects vertical COG but it does not have the sliding perimeter weight. It has two weight ports, one in the heel and the toe.

Both obviously have the adjustable hosel. They have a cool color scheme too. Very dark navy blue crown with a bit of sparkle. Some red, white and blue on the sole and the white Fubuki Z shaft. Excellent looking drivers.
They certainly do sound like some great looking drivers!
Looking forward to 12/2 :)

They are coming out with 2 models. The first is the one everyone has seen with the sliding track. The other is the big berta alpha with has a similar weighting system as the rfx but in the center is a weight that can flip to change the center of gravity. Multiple shaft options but stock will be the atx blue and green

We pretty much know that already, but your shafts are off. The stock shafts from what we've been hearing/seeing are the Fubuki Z and Fubuki ZT, not the Aldila Tour shafts. Those are going to be stock in the X2Hot/Pro lines I believe.

My head is spinning now! Can't wait for 12/2 to see the clubs and who is actually right. And I fully expect an ''I told you so'' from some of you around here.
the general consensus here is right--

BB Alpha with gravity core. 11g on end, 1g on the other. 2 weights. New Fubuki stock, 4 other shafts at N/C. One loft, dual cog.

BB with a 20g sliding track (which is the real story). No weights. (well, one weight, but not important to the design.) 3 lofts. Dual cog.

The BB is the straightest driver on the market. The dispersion numbers are astounding.

Can't wait for 12/2 so all the videos will go up.

can you order the Aldila Tour Green as stock on the new BB drivers or will that be an upcharge (since its stock on the Xhot 2)
It is one of the N/C shafts.
Not that I'm complaining about the Fubuki's being the stock offerings, but do you know what the other N/C shaft options will be?

Is it wrong that I'm concerned about the look/functionality of the headcover? I'm hoping for something with just a bit of old school respect but no pom-pom.

I've been digging through patents. Found some awesome stuff, but I think I may have stumbled onto at least a version of one of the drivers it could've evolved from. It has the classic Bertha face and from descriptions of some of the components that make it up, it could be an iteration of what evolved into the new driver. If I'm off base, well, I tried. But if someone that's seen it could confirm it or deny it, my suspicions would be at ease.
