Ping Camo Putters

Love to hear your thoughts on the new Camo putters from Ping. I'm not a camo fan myself, but they look pretty good for those that do.

They look deeply silly.

Not really a fan of the look and definitely not a fan of the price.

I hope nobody leaves it on the green. They may never find it (somebody had to say it).

Ping are just dying to get in on some of the silly money people like to throw at "limited" or "custom" putters from other makers. They do not seem to have found a formula for doing that yet but they're in there pitchin'...

Why they decided to do the face/insert as well is beyond me, really not a great look overall IMO

Definitely think that pattern needs to get tossed in the trash.

I do like the idea of them being able to really customize heads with things like unique alignment aids, etc.

I'm a hunter and I find that tacky as hell...and probably distracting looking at address too.

Yeah, the only "custom" model I'd have any interest in would need to have a delete option for the alignment aids and be adjustable upright to something more than 72 or 74 degrees.

Heck, if they could make a face-balanced Ketsch with naked top and 78-degree lie I might be willing to pay silly money. But "custom" seems to mean gaudy graphics, not real customization.

My initial reaction was "My God what where they thinking"? After that I think they are horrible looking. Way too busy and distracting. When I am putting I want as little to distraction as possible. A sight line, the ball, my perceived path and the hole is all I want to have to focus on. I don't need crazy graphics screaming at me while trying to put all those elements together.

Wheres the head? only seeing the shaft in these pics :stink:

I predict that they'll go down in history as misses like the bi-metal Bergen, the wooden Danser, the IsoPur/IsoPur2 and IsoForce/IsoForce2 lines, the Anser Ti (1-4) with the crazy plastic head cover, Specify, Udranium, and JAS Craz-E One.

That said, I know that there are people out there who will dig 'em...

Camo doesn't belong on the golf course, in any form or fashion. And I mean that with absolutely no disrespect to those that wear camo in serving our country in conflict.

I think Ping stepped on their "Johnson" with this release and I'm a big Ping fan.
