Not a bad run of scoring from EddiePeps!

Two eagles and two birdies in five holes. Not too shabby. All he needs now is an eagle on a par four for the trifecta.

You don't watch the golf channel, huh?

Hankshank is from Scandinavia, so I am guessing that he probably doesn't.

Yeah we got Pierre Fulke, Peter Hedblom and some other old tour players speaking our uncouth language as commentators. Guess thats what Trevor is doing for the dough these days? Didnt know that. Anyhow you expected more from him on the course after the Masters win.

I think it lacks features and character. Every hole seems remarkably similar. That said, it’s pretty long off the back tees, and will be in good condition, and that’s pretty much all the tour cares about.

This was no over-exaggeration. 12 to 18 seems to be exactly the same holes except that you go straight to theapproach on 17. Not a very good golf course for televised golf. There will be few eagles and doubles down the stretch this week. But many pars.

Hasn't the English top players performed extraordinally good this year? Rose, Wallace, Pepperell, Fleetwood ? You find a bunch of englishmen on the top of the eu tour leaderboard, and performing well on the US tour as well.

Watching this has confirmed it to me...got to play Walton Heath at some point. Looks so so good! Wish my home course hadn't gotten as rid of as much as of the heather as they have done over the years.

Moliwood look like they have run out of steam today.

Good to see Eddie playing well again this week. Hope he can continue the form over the weekend, too good a player to only have the 1 win.

Rose just birdied a par 5 by going Driver-Lob Wedge-Driver-Putt. He hit driver off the deck from 250 uphill into the wind to 4 feet.

Ladies and Gentlemen....a classic course shows it teeth. Loving watching this. Real bunkers, firm greens, punishing heather....marvellous.

I bet Walton Heath is fantastic to play , but somehow it doesn't seem to look really good on TV . Maybe because the features are subtle on a largely flat terrain.

Still good to see a heathland course on tour , after the links last week , nice to have all the different venues to choose from for the Euopean Tour.

That's not what we meant by living under par... but I guess it works!
  • I have played there a handful of times and I don’t think the coverage does it justice. There are so many options around the greens and the wind can make it very hard. It is a great course that I would recommend to anyone. I reckon the players would tell you they enjoyed it.

i think it looks fabulous ... you don't need a golf course that "looks good" ... you need a course that is interesting ...

but the rough is almost unplayable, so i just don't see how anyone can play golf there ... image/read.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':read:' />

Living under par means playing a par 5, hitting driver and lob wedge to ten feet then missing the putt for eagle.
swing is irrelevant, score is everything

There's no way the US could EVER win a a Ryder Cup match there.
