The first reply put him right in his place.go out and win and stop being transparently jealous. You can dislike the person but respect the player. hes won 5 times in 2 years... Im not crazy about the attention he gets but hes winning and works his butt off to improve. Its not hype if hes winning. Lots of players resent Ricky Fowler and they have more of a case considering he has won 4 times in 10+ years. Dechambeau has 5 in 2 years!! some perspective is needed

I don't necessarily disagree and in a Brendon Todd centric way was a funny response in its own right. But I think Brendon was trying to get at "let's stop acting like Bryson discovered the holy grail" type of thing. Bryson has been incredibly successful with this method over the last couple of years. I wouldn't argue that. But it will be interesting to see if anybody else can come close to duplicating his success over the next few years. He has certainly generated new interest in single length. Whether that translates to others having similar success at a high level remains to be seen.

I dont think his success will spawn a whole generation of copycats however his results speak for themselves and his method is basically just a unique swing. he should get credit for single length being credible as he is the only pro golfer doing it unless im wrong

No, that's Brendon Todd that's at 1537, not Brendan Todd. Brendan isn't even on the list. How embarrassing.

I thought you were making up a big number for humor, but I checked and that's accurate. There's another famous Todd that is higher up the rankings: Jarin Todd at 508. He's better than Henry Todd at 1920 though.

Bryson's results do speak for themselves, but there are also 5 guys ahead of him in the WR using normal length irons. Probably everyone between Bryson at 6 and Brendon Todd at 1537 uses normal length irons as well. All of those results also speak for themselves. Bryson's strength isn't his equipment selection, but that he figured out what worked for him and had the mental capacity to stick to it no matter what what people told him. There are loads of great golfers turned mediocre by chasing something "ideal" that doesn't work for them.

In summary, Brendan/Brenden/Brendon Tod/Todd/Todde has a good point, even if he isn't nearly as good as Bryson.

Nobody has ever won like Bryson has playing the type of clubs he uses. I don’t think anyone has won on the PGA Tour using single length clubs. He is unique and Todd is weird.

Todd's reaction is over the top but the original post he quoted was just as stupid. BAD found HIS way to maximize his talents and succeed, and that's to be commended. Everybody doesn't make single length clubs for the same reason every teaching pro doesn't teach Jim Furyk's swing. Maybe the lesson the original tweeter should have learned is "find your way that gives you the best results" instead of trying to copycat the latest fad. That may be the reason why BAD is #smarterthanmost

Todd's reaction smacks of resentment.

He should be happy to have a career playing a game at all, and be proud of his single win on the PGA Tour (which _is _an accomplishment).

I see a lot of people jumping on the bandwagon against BT but he has a point?? It’s called an outlier. One guy has found success using single length irons. Plenty of successful guys use convential irons. I know BT personally and maybe his sense of humor doesn’t broadcast well online but he’s a great guy..not that he cares what you think anyways

Oh. I thought he cared.

Might as well delete this thread then.

His point went away when he referred to Bryson as "this nut."
