This dude's swing is something to behold. I wonder where all the power comes from. He has such great balance with what looks like no wasted motion.

I tell you what. It's easy to overlook the flexibility necessary to make a move like that. As I get older, I've found that my hips don't move like they used to. It's harder and harder to clear them out of the way to really swing hard at the ball.

Love that PLD Anser putter and man he hits it a ton. And he uses my favorite grip the Lamkin UTX grips is one of the best full cord grips I have ever used I use the wrap version in black and had the normal version on my last set of irons.

He got scolded in the GC for suggesting people needed to ask Foley about his swing. It was funny, like Foley was the one hitting the shots for him.

Grow real rough so you need 70% driving accuracy to compete at the top level

When was that the norm? Not in the steel and balata days. They were about 3-4% higher than today. Caused more by the distance traveled than inaccuracy today. That's about two fairways per tournament.

I wonder if that shaft really is a low 60 gram like is painted? Fuji is known to have other shaft specs under some "stock" paint jobs.

Why? Because of the perception on this site that all strong hitters must use a 70 gram series?

I’m surprised more players don’t use 60 gram series shafts. It’s a distance club. Why not get rid of a few grams of weight?

Because most of them grew up playing Titleist and Titleist has a giant bucket of money available to pay all those guys.

There’s a reason their balls cost $4 a piece and it’s not because they’re better than everyone else’s.

Does anyone know exact specs on the shaft??

According to PING's website, it's the Fuji Pro Tour Spec 63 X tipped 1.5". From an interview I heard with him, he preferred the 63 instead of the 73 because it was stiffer. Regardless, it works - his ballflight isn't too high and it doesn't seem like he creates too much spin.

Best ball on planet earth!!

....especially when you buy 20 dozen on sale at $20 a dozen this spring!!

I absolutely adore premium urethane balls at $1.67 a piece.

The fact that they often on sale is just icing on the cake for me. They are my favorite ball by a mile.

I'll guarantee you jag if the srixon ball was a better ball they would be playing it regardless of money. The ball money these guys get is a drop in a bucket to what they make.

My 36 year old body isn't capable of getting the club in a position like that while maintaining balance and posture. I really like his release. His body is in such a good position that he can just fling the club through the ball with no manipulation. So fluid and efficient.

It’s not “better”. I’m not actually being serious. I’m just saying that all the top tier premium urethane balls are essentially equal to each other any more. Anyone saying a ProV is better than a TPx, or is better than Chrome soft, or is better than a Bridgestone, or is better than a Srixon doesn’t understand the parity in top golf balls anymore. The differences are extremely subtle and mainly about preferences. It’s Not really about better or worse, just about minor differences in feel, flight, spin, and durability. In reality, ball choice for most people is more about brand loyalty and image and Titleist pays dearly for that. They have for a very long time.

I happen to love Srixon XV because of wind performance, cover durability, modest spin on full irons (I fight too much spin), and yes....the fact they go on sale regularly. I would NEVER spend $4 on a golf ball. Ever, ever, ever.

And the Fuji pro is one of the most “ paint jobbed “ shafts out there. I have owned 4 that had the actual shafts makeup etched below the color break on the black/ graphite color of this shaft. Usually the weight is etched there too. Also I believe there are tour only weights of this shaft. I had a 95g blue on a 5 wood .... never seen it retail. And a blue graphics 65x hat had “ Kuro pro 70tx” laser etched on the black part of thecshaft. It was rebar. I mean the lowest launch shaft I ever touched.
