Sure there a few things to still iron out, but nothing to prevent one from hanging out here. I'm sure if someone new discovered WRX, they would think the site is great. Nothing but respect for the efforts of the owners to make sure the site works (the old one was going to die) and allow us the luxury of being here.

Cool, glad you think ppl need to get over it. I for one hate the new color scheme. It's one thing keeping me from coming on here plus the slow downloading. I don't need to get over it, I just won't come on here as much, that's my choice. I'm not complaining just stating my feelings. Your opinion of how you think other ppl should feel about the changes ain't gonna change how much I loathe the new setup.

Hey, I despise the color scheme too (I think there is no place for teal and gray scale print - anywhere), but it's not going to prevent me from using the the forum. Download speed is not an issue for me since I'm not active on BST, but it's still nothing to get worked up about. It's not like they're streaming porn. :) In a few weeks it might all be moot.

Agreed, only difference is it preventing me from using the forum.

In a few weeks I'll still be used to not coming on here as much and my habit will probably be ingrained. At least I hope so for my PayPal accounts sake lol

  • 2 weeks later...

I've grown to like this look with the exception of a few things. Avatars being round one thing. Absence of the multi-quote feature that the old software had another. I'd move the location of the post date to the upper right corner if it were me. Down below the poster info in the left side is kind of an inconvenient place to look for the post date when it refers to what is over in the right hand side.

In the edit user profile option you can change the level of quotes to be folded up in your reply. From do not fold the quotes up to starting folding at 5 levels deep.

No, I mean where used to you could click "quote" and it would store it in the "leave a comment" box and then continuing reading the thread and click on other messages you wanted to quote it would just store them down there until you actually wanted to reply. I know a little HTML so it was easier for me to use tags than it is to use the >>> symbols.

Just a little thing. I used that feature a bunch to avoid creating multiple individual posts to respond to multiple quoted messages. It was easier for me but maybe other folks didn't use it that way.

Site continues to have fewer and fewer member/guest visits and these visits don't last nearly as long as before 'the change'.

June 30th, (20 days from now), is likely 'the deadline' for many people who have been expecting to see the 'old layout' back as promised.

'Infinite patience' is a myth...GolfWRX shouldn't believe in it!

Geez, give them a freaking break. I can't believe many of you are whining about a free golf forum. Be thankful it's still here no matter what skins it's on.

How did you do it? When I click quote it automatically takes you to the "Leave a Comment" box at the bottom of the page. With the old version there was a radio button you could click that stored the quotes down in the box but allowed you to stay right where you were on the page to continue reading. When you went to page 2 or 3 or whatever of the whole thread then you could click down in the box and comment to the individual quotes.

When I click the button I have the arrow on it drops me out of my place in the thread and to the bottom of the page.

Go to the next post you want and hit quote again. I’m on mobile, and it didn’t automatically put me into the edit box when hitting quote (maybe that’s something that needs fixing ). If you are in the edit box, scroll to another post and try. Can even go to another page and the existing quote should stay in the box.

I just mentioned that it was June. There's a big old alert at the the top saying the old layout will be back in June. It is a fair comment. I wrote it as "un-whiny" as I could.

NEWSFLASH: There are lots of 'free' golf forums from which to choose. People naturally migrate to those sites where they have the best experience, and at the present time, that's probably not going to be GOLFWRX....
