That thread basically says "it is being looked at." Anything come from that process yet?

It was fixed per the thread. The original question was about erroneous error ranks which was corrected. Please clarify in that thread or create another one if it’s a different problem.

The updates are continuous and everything goes through validation and testing. There are multiple things being worked on.

 

Search was addressed as were multiple layout issues.

 

All were reported in 2.0 forum. Nothing has stopped and a new theme is in progress of being built.

 

Please ask for updates and request in the 2.0 forum for specific progress info.

 

The search feature request was a significant amount of work and one of many still being tweaked. Also each request is impacting feedback timelines.

Probably a stupid question but how do I get to the first page of a thread? For example every time I click on this one it takes me to page 32, what if I want to read the OP?

Not stupid at all. This doesn’t work on mobile devices in portrait mode. If you rotate to landscape the #1 link will show up to get to page 1.

Can't wait for the old layout to come back. I find myself visiting a lot less and staying not nearly as long either.

At first it was an adjustment, but frankly i'm totally fine with the new layout now. I'm used to it and i think its at least the same if not better than the old one. People typically don't like change which is normal, i don't see any advantage to going back to the old one. I think the management here has taken a lot of criticism and any time you change the layout of a popular site that's to be expected, but i really don't have any issues with the new site. I still love this place

 

A dark mode would be a nice feature....That's about the only comment i'd have. I'll keep coming back either way

For me...the only thing missing is getting notifications for BST forum. That notification would send me an email when a new BST was posted and if it was something that got my interest...I'd click the link and go look. Even though I was initially only visiting to view a new BST post...I inevitability would click over to see what other threads or news stories were popular and get sucked in. Without the BST forum notifications that I previously had, I've had to be more conscientious to come and visit, but I've noticed my visits have been more sparse and limited.

A dark mode would be nice. Hmm. Ha. I agree with what you said. I'm perfectly fine with the changes and can adjust to it easily. After all, I've been through many changes to other forums and I survived.

 

I don't understand why people complains loudly about a free forum and heaping cr@p at the owners & moderators. They don't deserve that. I'm just thankful for getting my golf fix from this site.

After the initial week or so of frantic changes and cursing, I've grown accustomed to the site. I've got no problems (although I'm not on BST) and it is pretty much as it was. Every now and then I notice something has changed. Like today: **We've got the sponsors back.** That must be a relief to them and the owners.

Still waiting for the site to be a little better with the ipad, but I won't have a "golf emergency" in the meantime.

I would imagine so, and I’d be interested to see the details about traffic. I, for one, spent about an hour a day on the “old” wrx, loved it. I think I’ve logged on 3 times in the last month...

I think people just need to get over it. The first few weeks were a little weird, but there is nothing wrong with the site. Sure there a few things to still iron out, but nothing to prevent one from hanging out here. I'm sure if someone new discovered WRX, they would think the site is great. Nothing but respect for the efforts of the owners to make sure the site works (the old one was going to die) and allow us the luxury of being here.

The past week or two, either I've adjusted, or you've made a few changes, but it's suddenly really comfortable again. I used to primarily use the "show new posts" and the "posts I've posted in" (or whatever they're called) and now that they're back, that's very helpful.

My use is primary desktop and lesser android.

 

I absolutely don't understand why we haven't changed the colors yet? I can only guess that maybe a team has been hired at some expense to make the site look like it has in the past and promised to have it done by 5-21 or sooner to have time to test it extensively.

 

But aside from that and a little more control over my response color font options and embedding links, I can't see what else needs done?

Things are coming along nicely. As soon as we can get rid of the overwhelming #FFFFFF, things will be peachy. Not sure if the ignore feature is back yet, but that would be icing on the cake.
